Re: Who can afford this?

My point was to clarify the original post on here as it was stated that "anyone wanting to attend the January Selection match must" but that is not the case. In this case the competitors with religious and medical exemptions are to follow these guidelines not those with the vaccine. Speci...

Agreed upon by who or is it whom and when? Curious on the who/whom was (credentials) and when the Star Chamber met.

Re: Who can afford this?

According to USA Shooting, anyone wanting to attend the January Selection match must: --- You will need to arrive into Colorado Springs 6 days before the match starts (December 29 for Rifle and January 2 for Pistol) and do a 6-day quarantine. --- On the 4th and 5th day of the quarantine, you’ll be ...

Time to rank the over levers

Almost time to fish or cut bait in deciding on an over lever AP. Gamo Compact .... if one could be found FAS 6004 ..... also if one could be found. US distributer say no incoming product is expected from Italy. Air Venturi V10 ...... available from several sources WEIHRAUCH HW 75 .....available from...

The 6004 suffers from that same issue as the V10 and Gamo Compact. Specs out at about 330fps. Plus a lot of plastic parts, levers, etc on moving parts that are in contact with each other.

Re: WEIHRAUCH HW 75 or HW 45

Thanks for all the info for why not to get a HW 75. My point is to assist my BE shooting with a modest expense. Yes I know, "buy once, cry once" SSP is my choice to avoid, tanks, pumps, temperature issues (CO2), etc. I owned a IZH 46 for over 10 years and it never really filled the bill at...

Re: New target shooter looking for gun recommendations

This similar to my Buckmark Trailside. https://www.gunbroker.com/item/918673406 https://www.gunbroker.com/item/917765430 Pair it up with a Vortex Crossfire and your all set. Be advised. Cleaning the these Buckmarks requires taking off the rail and dot, and removing the barrel. Unless you use a pull ...

WEIHRAUCH HW 75

I used to own a Gamo Compact ..sold because of the low power even with 7.0 gr pellets. Poor hole cutting even with Edelman targets. Bought a IZH 46, sold 12 years later due to economic reasons, the grip was kind of awkward and was nose heavy. Cut nice holes on any target paper/card. Great trigger. I...

Who the devil thinks up these things? It is like Abbot and Costello explaining baseball? 3 pages to relearn a shooting event procedure? Semi and finals, where a 10 can be worth 4 points or is it 3?

Phone reply from Chaippa USA

Someone finally answered the phone. No 6004s are available. No they are not made in the US, they are made in Italy. No timeline for delivery. No , contacting Italy will not speed up availably. A whole lot of NOs from Chaippa. All this trouble is likely not worth it for an AP that specs out at 330fps...

Crickets from Chiappa

I have emailed Chiappas US distributer several time. Not a word back.

Have called the US distributer numerous times at various times of day. I get prompted to press one for customer service. It rings twice, gets cut off and then the call is disconnected.

Very disappointed.

Re: How to develop steadier hold for Bullseye?

Not quite what the OP was asking but related. My advice is don't linger and don't be afraid to bail and redo your shot process. This is for SF. TF and RF is more of an learned instinctive process. Practice will make you develop the TF and SF sight picture/hold and shot cadence. I check my foot posit...

Re: FAS 6004 vs Venturi V10

This whole question of V10 versus FAS has cropped up a lot but lets answer it properly. The FAS trigger, which has to be the main considerations of any target pistol, is night and day better. \ With patience the FAS trigger can be adjusted to have an edge on some fully fledged target pistols like t...

No 6004s a few V10s

Done a deep dive for FAS 6004 and found none, no stocking, out of stock etc. The V10s found a few on ebay and one on GB. Covid? or why the lack of 6004s? Rather go with a FAS as there are published work arounds for boosting the fps and the all metal construction vs the metal and plastic of the V10. ...

Am the OP. I owned a Gamo Compact before getting my IZH (later sold). The Gamo did not have a dryfire function as I recall.

FAS 6004 vs Venturi V10

I had a IZH 46 6 years ago and had to sell then for financial reasons (sadly). Now I wish to reenter the AP field as I am doing Bullseye more and more. I was looking at the Venturi 46 but had to make the choice of buy the 46 or buy tires. Tires won. That being said now the choice is the FAS or the V...

Re: Kurger targets are no longer accepted by the NRA

Greetings, The bullet holes cut into the Kruger target material is far superior to the "Tagboard" material. There is something in the paper emulsion that makes them, Kruger/Edelmann, work so well. The Kruger/Edelman target paper uses very little recycled paper which is very surprising giv...
