BE iron sights, red dot

I have a Buckmark with a full length weaver rail. But I am confused about which BE competitions allow and dont allow red dots sights. I know I can find NRA and International rule books on line as PDFs but slogging through them until I can order them direct is a real drag. So I thought I would post h...

Running out of 10M pistol targets

My supply of edelman targets is running low. What the latest info on quality one bull targets. I have seen the 4 bull National Target on *bay. So I would cut then up to fit my target box, but US "domestic" producers have had a poor rep I understand.

Have older eyes and am placing a home made Merit like aperture on my eyeglasses and it REALLY let me focus on the front sight wiht a sharp sight picture. Will s...

Looking closely at BSA

Just bought a BSA spotting scope for AP and BE and the quality look good. So I will keep my eyes on a BSA optic at this point. The BSA web sight is pretty nice too. Hope it is an indication overall for its products.

Suggestion on optic sights for buckmark

I need some low cost- moderate cost optic sight suggestions for my recently purchased buckmark..low cost as I parted with a good portion of my play $$$ on the buckmark with full length rail.

I see some "value" priced on that major auction site and some outragous ones too.

Duh I should of known that but......

having come over to the dark side (pistol) from rifle when going from 50ft-50yd to 100yd and being used to raged hole 5 shot groups and clicks can mean 10' or x's.....the short sight radius and the "large" 10 rings in pistol and the black being 8 ring or better ...all I could recall about ...

Buckmark Click Values, etc

Now that I have my BM. I pose the question before shooting blind at 50 ft, 25 yds and 50 yds. I know enough put the rear sights in the center of the click range and start from there, However I only have access to a 50ft range and anticipate entering a 900 portion of a 2700 match in the near future. ...

Here is the Browning Buckmark I settled on

A good hand fit..so far. Need some more magazines of course and will eventually get a optic sight. Am pondering making a set of grips to match my Izzy AP in at least the hand hold part. The slide release and safety latch area will have to be exposed as will the mag release. yeah I could call Fung an...

OP...have set my sites on a buckmark only now....

Trying to find a new 5.5 or 7.25 bull barrel with weaver rib is starting to be a BIG problem.

My local dealers in ETX say that Buckmarks have not been shipped since the Tsunami in Japan!!

There is a gun show in Tyler TX weekend..will hit that and see.

Top contender right now is a Buckmark

Considering $$ I can get a used or new for 365-410, 5.5 barrel with rail and the contour grips ( that I WILL replace in time to match my IZZY hopefully). Yes mags are $ 27-33 and wil new a few xtras. Have parted ways with a 38 and 9mm and hopefully soon a bushnell spacemaster ll zoom with an additio...

Is this a good deal..Browning buckmark

I have locally found lightly used Browning Buckmark at a shop for 399.00 with 1 mag and plastic case. It has a full rail and is the 5.5" barrel model with contour grips. If I pull the trigger on this deal I will replace the grips (eventually) with ones I will design from scratch but patterned o...

22 bullseye starter guns

Yes I know spend as much as you can afford..... In order of my meager knowledge of 22 auto out of the box with custom grips, triggers.... I am venturing into the darkside from rifle to pistol. Open sights to start with a longer range goal of a dot after I start climbing the scoreboard with the basic...

Cap

Lets consider this......a shooting position is constructed physically based on points of reference by a shooter. In the physical sense this can mean point of contact that the shooter can feel/sense. :ie the feet, shoulder, hands, elbows, cheek, rib cage/side etc Physically speaking... adding the cap...

You will need more than 20X to be able to read the target numbers at 100 yds. I use 30X at 50 yds to get a clear picture of the target, so I don't think 20X will be enough. I asked around today at the range and I was told 40-50X is about what most people use at 100 yds. An adjustable 15X-50X will w...

Rule 9.9.1.2 Sneakers, sandals or any other similar footwear without a strap or full support at the heel, without a medical certificate are not allowed. Hmmm I gather that Crocs or similar are OK but ONLY if the heel strap is used behind the ankle. Define "full support"? a very gray area ...

Hammerli Xesse

What is the general opinion of the Xesse target model? I may be scouting around for a .22 to start up in bullseye. Yes I know the M41 is a treasure ...and most of the time costs about the same. And yes the Xesse can get pricy too. Have thought about a Bernadelli also. I know the Ruger has LOTs and L...

More smallbore shooters become HP shooters over time than HP shooters become smallbore shooters. It is just a matter of exposure. More kids shoot SB early than shoot HP. Thus the SB exposure. More parents, clubs, schools start with SB than HP. If dad and or mom is a HP shooter it is best to start th...

Re: spotting scope advice

When shooting from a bench, is the straight eyepiece or angled one preferred? Also, what magnification works best for 10m and is a large objective lens needed for indoors? Any suggestions on brands or where to buy one? Straight or angled eyepieces is just a personal preference. Position shooters li...

Weilers is correct on the NRA SB anysight competition, prone and position. But I do no believe that even a stripped down 1413 with or without the Lyman will make the weight limit for smallbore silhouette. AS I recall the weight was 11lbs 2oz with sights for NRA SB Sil. Stripped down I am meaning no ...
