Re: NCAA college air rifle score analysis
It would be interesting to see what kind of scores would be shot by today's top shooters using no special shooting pants and a jacket with no stiffness at all (like the old 10-X models with leather shell and corduroy liner). +1 to the comment. Thank most the higher scores to the never ending equipm...

Re: The New ISSF Air Pistol Finals Format
The pervious method of qualifications of the top eight followed by the decimal scoring finals was so pure and simple given the need for decimal scoring for the "lack" of a "X" worked. Why mess with a system that worked, was not broken, was easily understandable from the get go? T...

Re: Why do Olympic air gun shooters grip their guns so awkwardly?
I've seen a US team shooter using a position like that. Looks incredibly awkward, and painful, but if you're young enough to manage it ... Probably not reasonable with a 45? So those of us that want to shoot both disciplines, 'pistol shooting', and Neanderthal rock throwing, there's got to be a com...

Re: pellet consumption
The question should be how much have you dry fired and how many rounds have you shot in competition in comparison to your pellet consumption at home.Personally I don’t think that is too many 4.5 month span of time shooting at home.

Re: Houston area Jan 25-26!!
Shooting Sports USA lists no BE shoots for that weekend. Maybe another forum posted knows of a NON NRA event that weekend in the Houston area.
Neither does CMP list a BE event in Houston that weekend. Just to a lot of dry firing.

Re: Loading a pistol - when?
This question on when to load has another technique question on when to load. All of the posters (I think) are using PCP APs. What about those with SSPs? We still count don't we? LOL Lift the loading port and load? Then charge the AP with the lever. Or operate the lever with the port opening up, ret...

Re: Kurger targets are no longer accepted by the NRA
I have about 200 targets marked Edelman/UIT. When they run out I doubt I will order any USA/NRA targets. Its too much of a gamble on paper/tag or whatever quality. I will get them from Canada/Ebay.
I dont really care if the NRA will accept them or not. They are for my personal use.

10M Target Viewer Camera System
Now that I am getting back into AP after a LONG hiatus, I have the AP, pellets, target, target box, proper illumination. Now am seeking suggestions on a basic target viewing system. I do not need a system that records, displays hold and all the statistics, etc. Just a viewer system that can use my i...

Re: Pardini K58 Trigger
The K12 comes in at about 300g "new out of the box". I felt the same thing. The recommendation from Pardini USA was: "Optimally, I would set the first stage to around 400 grams and the second stage to 140" . I used a Lyman 7832248 pull gauge, but at the end of the day - it suppo...

Pardini K58 Trigger
Just purchased a Larry's Guns Pardini K58 from a member of this forum and I am very please with it. When shooting it, the trigger felt like it was way under 500 grams. I weighted the trigger using a RCBS spring type trigger pull device. The device has been on the money with my BE/HP/SB guns so I am ...

SSP= Single Stroke Pneumatic.
One cocking/operation of the lever fully charges the AP.

Re: SSP only monthly match?
I would give a strictly SSP monthly match a go. Paper targets fine. Self scoring/honor system, no problem. Just got my RWS 7.0 pellets for my soon to arrive K58.
Question is would it be 60 shot or something less?

Re: Left elbow positioning(right handed shooter)
A LOT depends on your physical build. When I was much slimmer I could throw out my left hip and rest the elbow on it directly. Some additional support and rifle direction was gained by my upper arm resting along my rib cage. I was tall shooter 6'3"/170# and had to use a actual palm rest (1st a ...

The British Commonwealth nations are the worst of the "free" countries in regards to weapon regulations.
And there are a LOT of them.
Excluding the communist/socialist nations of course.

Re: Pardini K58 dot mount?
I just bought a K58, will arrive after the 1st. Will be an interesting experiment. I have a spare dot sight. Getting the mount from Amazon/other to see if the "clamp" will fit on the barrel without deflection of the barrel from the top of the K58. I know the IZH barrel has a bunch of clear...

Pardini K58 dot mount?
Anyone ever put a dot sight on a K58? I have looked at the barrel mount slated for a IZH46s and the mount looks like it could clamp on the K58 barrel too. Opinions? Thoughts? https://www.opticsplanet.com/sun-optics-izh-46-barrel-mount.html https://www.apukejic.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&am...

CZ BRNO TAU-7
I have a line on a Tau-7. I did not know that it could use the CO2 powerlets for charging. So I kind of adjusted my thoughts on a CO2 AP as a possible alternative to an getting a SSP. It looks in great shape, has all the parts, all english instructions, a bag of what looks like seals, springs, valve...
