Latest and greatest on targets?
I see that Kruger US is now the official supplier to the NRA, ISSF and USAS for targets for the US market. Excluding the targets that are designed to be machine read and scored. I hope that means that the stiff, short grain paper fiber that was in all Kruger targets are now being used by official NR...

AP Pistol Shaming
Another Xman rant... I am so tired of people here on this forum shaming other peoples APs. I am speaking specifically regarding shaming the IZH 46 and other Russian manufactured shooting items. Yes they do not have the pedigree of PCP Styer, Morini, FWB, Walther and others. Or the bells and whistles...

Re: Intro and new guy air rifle questions
It was reported on this forum that there may be a four year temporary stay of the 140mm rule for wood stocks but I havent seen it elsewhere yet. If it ends up being a 4 year stay of the 140mm rule for wood stocks, they may as well not have it at all if the powers that be want to bring in mid level ...

Re: Thinking of a PCP AP
My objection to the new PCPs has always been one of cost to the newer or poorer shooter (not that I think they confer any real advantage). So go ahead and buy whatever you like, but don't think you're buying any points over the older guns. Oh I know you cant buy points in AP via equipment..its too ...

Re: Tokyo 2020: ISSF Ad-Hoc Committee releases Shooting prog
Even for target shooters there is some doubt: just ask your shooting friends if they watch the finals on their computer? Hmm LA was 1984. I dont even think Microsoft even start distribution of windows yet. Home computers were not as prevalent as today. Not positive that LA finals were on line.. if ...

Re: Forget Petitions....
It make a STRONG statement and takes GUTS to do It's so easy to ask others to take such serious action, and shows little understanding of the required mind-set and dedication that are requirements for those reaching the Olympics. I never said it would be an easy decision to do. Oh and I know the re...

Re: Forget Petitions....
Qualified shooters attend the SOG in 2020. When firing is to commence for their event, shooters just turn around, pack up their equipment and leave. When I first read this I grinned as I presumed that it was "tongue in cheek". As I read on however I got the impression that you were being ...

Re: ISSF Olympic events
Xman how is it that the NRA has rights to " World Shooting Championships" ? The ISSF and UIT have been running the World Championships for decades even in the US. https://wsc.nra.org/ While it does say NRA World Shooting Championship, It does bill itself and advertise as world shooting ch...

Have looked at Ebay, seen alot of stuff there.. tanks old and new, various sizes, gauges and what not. Any links to where I can g...

Thumbs up for that..get out the Olympics all together and be done with it already.
Even thought the NRA has "World Shooting Championships" logo/rights locked up. It Could be International World....... and so forth.
Even if it never comes to the US so what.

Re: A twist to the adding/dropping of events..from 2014
There is little point to re adding again as that were in as demo sports before and FAILED. If they were MIXED teams.. now then MAYBE they would fall under the gender inclusion aspect that IOC is seeking, but NOT as all male and all female teams would fall under. It is only fair is it not? In shootin...

Militancy works better. And if does not..so what? Qualified shooters attend the SOG in 2020. When firing is to commence for their event, shooters just turn around, pack up their equipment and leave. Sure to get publicity... Yeah, maybe China wont go along and a few 3rd world countries too, but the m...

Re: Thinking of a PCP AP
Having done some research on this I have come to the near conclusion that there are no entry level PCP APs, save for the Hammerli AP 20 at about $1000 US. And the things I have read about the AP 20 are very mixed at that. Add to that the costs of a scuba tank at about 225 (maybe) and the yoke adapte...

Thinking of a PCP AP
Am thinking of going over to the dark side and getting a PCP AP. Currently using an Izh46 (not an M model). I really like the grip, the balance, the sights, the dry fire ability and adore the trigger. Even Jason Long the bronze medalist in O8 SOG said wow about the trigger when he shot my IZZY. We b...

Re: Free Rifle prone event remove from the Tokio 2020 OG
So many double standards. And when was the last time archery was run with human shaped targets? Archery was absent from the Olympics for 52 years (1920 - 1972) BTW. The stylised hammer, spear, and other outdated implements are only judged on distance. And except when the occasional judge gets hit (...
