Re: the dominance of Capapie shooting suits

I'm seeing other manufacturers introducing new product lines featuring new materials to compete with Capapie. So I emailed one of them to ask how their material compared with Capitex. Their suits were worn by three of the eight competitors in the recent Doha women's 50m 3P final. (The rest were all ...

Re: the dominance of Capapie shooting suits

Here are comments from a friend who wears Capapie: "The material of the Capapie maintains its rigidity better than anything else while still barely passing the Equipment Control stiffness test "While most jackets will show 3.0mm of deflection in the material almost immediately on the testi...

the dominance of Capapie shooting suits

In recent years Capapie has almost become the only thing that top shooters wear. What makes their products preferred over traditional brands like KT and Sauer?

Re: freETarget

Hi folks,

The latest news about the support for rapid fire seems to indicate that freETarget can support large target frames suitable for use at 25m or more.

Can the target frames be of any size? Does the system already support the ISSF pistol targets at 25m and 50m?

Thanks.

Re: SCATT sensor sensitivity

Also, I am using a rubber band on the barrel as padding for mounting the sensor, this way it does not slip, but maybe that also affects sensitivity? I would suggest that is highly likely. The sensor picks up the vibration of the trigger being released. A rubber band will dampen that vibration. This...

All current Grunig stocks have drop-in support for the Bleiker smallbore action.

Re: Comparison, Bleiker / Gruenig & Elmiger

This is a very out of date article. The Racer design has completely changed and the version shown in the article was never widely available to the public. And now G+E just released a 2nd-gen Racer.

Lots of 100 yard shooting here in the UK. But even in continental europe there is a fair amount of 100m shooting happening on a domestic level. Not only that but the US is the worlds largest market for shooting by a huge margin, so most products will be designed to meet the needs of the shooters in...

Re: Centra Spy rear sight.

Who handles the Centra Spy sight and what's the cost? I agree that the Anschutz is too bulky and I'd love something that really skinny but is there enough adjustment range for US shooting? MOB Any Centra dealer would be able to order it for you. This is frankly a bad time to order European goods gi...

Re: Sights

The filter issue that an earlier poster made is irrelavent, you can use any iris on the Spy as you can on most sights, he was clearly using the Centra crystal with no filter, I use the Centra startline filter on mine which is as small as the crystal and also has filters as well as being much cheape...

I'm not entirely sure what a "slim" sight is going to do for you. Vision in sighting eye is normally intentionally blocked off. I sight with right eye, view flags with left eye. I thought most people did it this way. I can't say I recall many people say they shaded on the ISU target. Shad...

Re: Best Rear Sight

Which is the best Rear Sight for ISSF 50 M Rifle in your oppinion? particular attention should be given to i) Accuracy ii)Wind Flag viewing iii)Easy positioning of Click Knobs for Prone. I think the original poster really hit it on the head with his list of priorities. Mechanical accuracy is import...

Being able to see the number boards isn't nearly as important in smallbore as it is in big bore. The targets are so far apart that crossfires between firing points are very unlikely, as long as your NPA is adequate.

As long as target shooting is understood as a sport in which a physical projectile is hurled against a target, SCATT cannot replace an actual electronic target, because it cannot determine the placement of the actual shot hole on a target.

Hi Erud, here are my answers: 1) I don't know if it works with High Power targets at 600 yards and beyond, where the targets are close together. I'm pretty certain that it will work with 200 and 300 yard targets. But that's something I've yet to find out, hopefully soon. 2) Reflection from the floor...

It's the size. In my experience, the size difference between a target printed for 6.5 meters and one printed for 6 meters is enough to throw off the sensor.

Re: scatt mx-02

Are you using the correct target, scaled to the correct distance? I had this issue when the size of the target dot was off. Thanks. Yes, I use the 10 meters air rifle target as I used to do with my previous scatt solution. Uh, you need to use the scatt software to print out a 50m target scaled down...
