Re: Target center shot count?

The problem is audience perception. How do you explain to a viewing audience that a 10.3 is sometimes an inner ten and can be used to break a tie and sometimes it is not an inner 10. The sport is trying to be more audience friendly, it should fix this small discrepancy on targets.

Re: Target center shot count?

Well I found out that an inner 10 as a 10.3 and a 10.3not scored as an inner 10 are not the same. A 0.01mm makes the difference.

Re: Target center shot count?

Thank you David. It just seems funny especially from an audience point of view that a 10.3 is not an inner 10 SOMETIMES. Explain that one. Since we have gone through the trouble of making things so much more audience and TV friendly. It should be either an inner 10 or not an inner 10. Can't have it ...

Target center shot count?

So in 50 meter smallbore it takes a 10.3 to score as an X ( Center Shot ) on an electronic target. But not all 10.3 shots are treated the same. Some show up as X's and others do not. Why is that? If there is a alllowable range for it to be called a center X shot I have not seen that written, but adm...

No men's prone?

So what does that do to the two National Junior Team spots that will not be available to earn by placing 1st or 2nd?

Joel, thank you. We work hard on the mental game for the kids and hard on the physical aspects of the positions and sport. Sometimes, the distractions of school, life and being a teen pull at what we do. The scores and performances each kid has are good, but need to get better if they really want to...

Getting over the hump?

So looking at performance levels, and I see a plateau. Trying to help coach a few kids to learn how to win. They shoot good, but not good enough to win big. How do we focus the training to get them to achieve the next few points they need to achieve podium appearances? Just additional training and t...

Thank you Eric, i looked up the rule and you are correct.
I have attached a photo to show you one example of some that I saw. Does it provide an advantage to have the stand higher?

OffHand Stand Height?

While watching the Olympic Trials for Air Rifle, I noticed quite a few differences in height positioning for offhand stands. Some had them at shoulder height, some above shoulder height and some below. What is the main reason for having the stand higher than the shoulder? Does it sit into the should...

1918 precise stock new?

Just got a new 1907 in a 1918 precise stock. Looks great, daughter likes it and it fits her better. Now what type of issues can we expect from it? The buffer pads under the stock look like in time might be an issue. Are they? Anything else we should watch for?

Thanks
Todd

I guess the question is do people like the KT Solid glove for offhand? She has the Top Grip material now and the finger parts are a bit thin in the padding area.

Off Hand glove?

My daughter upgraded her glove to a glove that is a name brand glove but seems to be lacking the same amount of cushion in the knuckle finger area. She shoots off her fist. Any suggestions on specific model glove for offhand shooting?

I have sent him an email. Thank you. I am concerned that the stock is already hard anodized and coated and what will re anodizing do to it and the fit? Aluminum stock anodizing?

Has anybody tried or had an aluminum stock that they refinished by anodizing it? What concerns should I have before sending one out to be colored? I know the Anschutz has a protective coating on them but will the aluminum still take the anodizing process?
