Lucas Kozeniesky a member of the USA team and Rio shooter uses a Turbo rifle for smallbore. That doesn't mean everyone should but Lucas has been posting good results with it.

If you are eating at Taco Hell the least of your problems is what web sites you can visit. You probably won't last long enough to get to the range after one of those "meals".

Re: How Do you handle / deal with a Sore Shoulder or Arm ?
I ruined both shoulders from 40 years of small bore prone. Saw a Dr, had surgery, now rehab with air pistol.
No 1 thing stop doing it. No 2 see a dr.
Rover's advice re the virgin will certainly help the swelling go down.

Re: Upgrade rifles??
Two ideas for your shooting journey. 1. As to equipment, buy the best, newest, most up to date your bank account and wife or husband will let you spend. You will never blame your equipment for a bad shot and you know what you need to work on and you will be able to shoot 10s. Also almost all shootin...

Re: NRA directors elections
My 2 cents. First don't confuse what I am going to say as a slam on any specific candidate now running, on Paul's list, currently on the BOD, on the BOD in the past, or could be in the future. In other words do your own research. 1. If term limits are good for politicians why not NRA BOD? Or maybe a...

Re: NRA 2018 National Smallbore F Class Championship
Hap your post says a "bipod" is required. In the limited smallbore F class matches I have seen shooters are using benchrest style support in the front. This link, which claims to be the NRA rules for F class smallbore seems to allow rests and not just bipods. I assume you meant that bipods...

Re: Flying with your Precision Rifles?
I haven't flown with my rifles in a while so I don't know what new and interesting methods of torture the TSA and airlines have come up with. However above all the number one thing to remember when flying with a bolt action rifle is: TAKE THE BOLT OUT. The torque on the stock when some knucklehead f...

Extraction problem
I took my antique High Standard to the range last week for the first time in years along with some Eley Club. About every other shot the pistol would fail to eject the brass. I have heard two possible reasons. 1. The ammo is designed for rifles and doesn't have the power to cycle the action. 2. The ...

Re: NRA Smallbore Survey
That really is a small sample if it is just this year's Nationals participants. It seems to me that a better option if they are serious about fixing smallbore they would survey those from, say, 5 years ago and find out why they don't participate any more. I hope they are serious about it but I tend ...

The current coat and pants used in AR and 3P are so much stiffer than the old eqpt it is possible to stand upright more and causes less back issues.

Re: Federal Gold Medal .22lr question
The Devil as they say is in the details. As Benny says RWS makes it to Federal specs but I don't believe Federal (or any other ammo company) broadcast their requirements from their ammo. Example: a former Eley importer told me that they made and packaged for him an ammo with proprietary labeling tha...

And to add to GM's post you can ship your rifle to Texas and they will test it for you and ship it back. Also the Lapua test facility in AZ will do the same thing and will test to 100 yd.

Re: Spotting Scope Eyepiece Magnification Question
Don't get too hung up on where your bullets are landing. There is plenty of time to check that out after the 20th shot is downrange. The primary use of a spotting scope in outdoor smallbore is to aid in wind reading. The idea here is to back the focus off of the target so that you are seeing what th...

Re: Federal Ultra Match at Champion Shooter Supply
In an effort to confuse and fleece shooters RWS is making an ammo packaged as Federal Ultra Match. It is NOT the same ammo as the Federal Ultra Match from the 90's. It's not even R 50 quality. If it was it wouldn't be selling for $6.95 a box. I just sold some of the old Federal for $13 a box. Don't ...
