Cleaner 45

I just started shooting the 45 phase of Bullseye (had been shooting centerfire with a 32). I am loading my own with 3.7 - 3.8 grains of Bullseye behind a 185 JHP. I am amazed how dirty the 45 is. Is there a cleaner propellant that can be recommended?

Thanks.

I want to thank everyone for their help. Looks like I'll be playing with the trigger weight on my Toz.

Pardini Free Pistol

I want to thank everyone for their responses. Especially RandomShotz. The post by Nicole described my position much better than I did and I found it very helpful.

Pardini Free Pistol

I am considering a new free pistol. I currently have a TOZ. I have a tendency to jerk the trigger. When I shoot free pistol with my Bennelli I do better. The Bennelli has a 2 stage trigger and taking up the 1st stage seems to allow me to squeeze the final release. The only free pistol with a 2 stage...

Reloading .32 Wadcutters

I purchased a Dilion 550B to reload .32 and .45 for Bullseye. In setting up for .32 the seating die wouldn't fully seat the bullet. I called Dillon and they told me to take the lock nut off and use it below the toolhead. This allowed me to fully seat but now the seating insert prevents me from full ...

Free Pistol Choices

I agree with the Toz comments about finger length and an after market grip. If you find a Toz with an original grip you will spend a lot of time removing wood unless your hands are huge. The Morini large on my LP10 fits just right. But the Rink large I got for the Toz makes me stretch. For what its ...

Open Sights & 45

I have been shooting bullseye for about 2 years with a Benelli 22 and 32. I have a 45 but have not been shooting as the fellow I bought it from (a High Master) told me I needed to used hand loads that were lighter than commercial and if I used commercial I would just "f" up the gun. (I am ...

Before going on-line, check with those running the program. It has been my experience they often know of locally available guns.

32 S&S Long

I have a Benneli 32 I have been using in Bullseye for about a year now. Bought it new. From a sandbag rest it groups under 3" at 50 yds (thats our range length). When I'm shooting well I can get it to group at about 5" at 50 yds. The gun has no problem staying in the 10 ring at 25 yds (I d...

603 Worth

The gun is pratically worthless. I'll save you time by taking it off your hands for $50. Just kidding guys. The best place to check is the "Buy, Sell" forum on this web site. You could also check "American Airguns Classified" as a 603 shows up there occasionally. I sold my 603 ab...

Remington M540XR

I have just purchased an M540XR. I have no real experience with rifles (have been shooting AP and Bullseye). I don't think I will complete but I love seeing how small a hole I can make.

Can anyone tell me what I can expect from the gun?

Thanks.

Lead Bullet Ban

U.S. News and World Report has a report today (See the Drudge Report) that the EPA has abandoned their effort to ban lead bullets due to opposition from the NRA and other shooting organizations.

Rhythms

It would seem to me that if this a concern, then the best time to practice is at the time you expect to shoot matches. That way you would learn how your body is reacting and the required compensation for it.

Benelli Front Site

I have Benelli MP 95s in both 22 and 32. Both have a channel inlet into the frame for mounting the front site. The channel also allows slight front/back movement of the site.

On my pistols both channels are the same width. Therefore the sights would be interchangeable.

This is probably going to be a stupid question, so please forgive me. I have been shooting Bullseye for about a year using a Bennelli 22 and 32. I have enjoyed it, so I bought a used 45 so I could complete the match. I have been using the iron sights for the 22 and 32. The gentleman who built the 45...

Indoor Shooting Lead Pellets

An alternative to the plumber's compound is the use of a styrofoam material. I made my backstop from a piece called arrow target foam. It is very dense and the pellets from my LP10 rarely get more than a 1/2" into the 2" thick slab I used. To clean it, I take it out of the holder, bend it ...

Purchasing from UK

In 2006 I purchased an FWB air rifle from a dealer in England. We agreed on a price by e-mail and he shipped the rifle to me, I believe using FedEx. In fact I reused the packaging when I recently sold it. No muss, no fuss, no extraneous paper work. Things may have changed in Briton, I don't know. Bu...
