Re: ultradot

Wow that is pretty work Mr. Keefer. I will try to contact Mr. Totts. With your mount, are you tapping the scope rail on those hammerli's? Will you be selling these? Will there be a point in the future that you would sell some scope tubes? Thank you, .:chuckie:. The bases are seated/buried into a cl...

Re: ultradot

I hated this scope when I first started working with them, but now, after working out the bugs, there's nothing better available. This is what can be done to overcome the negatives.. The scope is basically military, and not initially intended for BE.. The mount cross bolt has a tendency to break.. a...

Excellent point...nothing more annoying, than a neighboring shooter more focused on retrieving spent brass than remaining still and quiet while others finish a string of longline..

I do not see shooters starting Timed and Rapid, in the raised pistol position as we do now.. How ridiculous is that ? Every Master/HM should clean those targets.. This system WILL bring changes to the game as we know it now. Just look at the CMP proposals..Things are getting out of control.. I am no...
If the sport goes this way,
We all need to vehemently voice opposition to this.. The direction of the sport is being forced down our throats... I have a saying..." There are competitors and there are participants." The true competitors work all year training and investing in the sport.. The participants are there to party and barbecue.. No competitor I have talked to is in favor of this target system.. I happen to know, that one o...

That's another thing..Why a $150. penalty for signing up after Jun 1st.???
In the computer age..how difficult can it be to register and squad less than 700 shooters..??

I could not agree more with Kate.
The trend of "Todays Politics" is to jam it down everyone's throat, whether it's right or wrong, like it or not..

My view of this, and I have complained heavily.. It's a sad day when American industry can't supply the demands of the private sector. I don't remember shortages of this magnitude during Vietnam, and the military consumed massive amounts of ammo during that conflict. And I agree with Dronning; A com...

The base bolts directly to the frame top strap with 4 ea. 8 X 32 Countersunk Torx Heads. I have not installed an Ultra Dot since the Micro hit the scene. I just bought a case of Eley Sport with some Norma mixed in from Champion Shooters Supply. We'll see when it gets here, but the scarce RWS Target Rifle worked well when I had some. BTW It doesn't appear there's much interest in M41s. Rover; I personally like the 41. When set up properly, I think it...

Re: Pardini Sp Scope Rings Moving Forward

simply drill and tap a few #6-48 holes into the top of the pistol? Then supply a flat-bottomed, Weaver-type base which could be bolted on, using blue Loc-tite on the screw threads. Folks, if I was in charge at their factory, things would be different! First you would have to re design the receiver.....

What's everyone's opinion on the quality of factory Colt barrels? I can weld up the lugs, hood, and feet and refit the barrel, but if the bore is sub par would I be better off fitting a new match barrel? I would fit a new match barrel, as Jon suggested. Not only is link length an issue, chamber dep...

I have been away from Baer guns for some time now. I don't know of or haven't heard anything in the grapevine regarding a change in conventional twist rates.. 1 X 16 The only barrels I know that are slower is the Schumann gain twist..and it is easy to identify. I have played some with faster twist r...

Re: Short line load

Is it realy worth having a seperate load for the short line? Anyone use the same load for both? Absolutely.. Recoil ='s lost points.. I can't get some of my big guns to understand that, and insist on shooting Nosler HPs for the whole 2700. It's a security blanket thing..:) Also more recoil is requi...

I recently rigged up a make shift mechanical rest for my old Pardini. Darn thing shot right at .600 with Eley Red box..Didn't test any other ammo. I was quite pleased.. and impressed. The gun is 20 years old, and has been shot extensively. I had contemplated a barrel change to a Lothar Walther, but ...

Thanks for commenting Jerry. I'm not claiming my pistol will shoot 1/2" with ALL ammo :) I know... :):) When I tested the pistol I had some Eley, RWS and Lapua from my USAR days that I tested (1990's ammo). The same lot of RWS shot .400" at 52 meters from my TOZ free pistol. It was except...
