looking at the problem again and it may not be the extractor that is rubbing but the bottom of the slide.
I am not keen on shooting it in this condition in case it snaps again.
I'm a bit worried about interfering with the magazine in case I introduce feeding problems
any suggedtions?

Update - It is going to cost me $400 AUD to get a new slide.
