Just get a good gunsmith to mill that broken part with reinforced steel and you're back in business.PeeWeeDaddy wrote: ↑Sun Mar 30, 2025 4:52 pm
I cannot get the parts and if it cannot be welded I will probably part it out.

Re: FWB65 (& 80) Q re cocking behavior
KevinW, Yes, I have a new seal kit in hand and am looking forward to opening the gun up. Foest.eu has been a good source for seal kits. So your experience was that you first received your used FWB80 it was unlocking abruptly during cocking then locking again at the end of the cocking stroke, but th...

Re: FWB65 (& 80) Q re cocking behavior
Question for the Feinwerkbau cognescenti - Is it normal, or within range of normal function, for the sledge/action to intermittently unlock during the cocking sequence? For example - after firing, I nudge the sledge/action forward so it locks in battery, then pull the cocking lever back to cock and...

Re: Good starter pistol for 10m?
Plus, there is no way to dry fire it. You don't want a pistol you can't dry fire It is possible to dry fire the pistol by just unlatching the lever and slightly pushing it forward to cock the sear without pre compressing the air. Like I said, repeatedly doing so will damage the plastic housing of t...

Re: Good starter pistol for 10m?
I found this Air Venturi V10 for around 380cad You're from Canada? Had a Gamo compact, the equivalent to the Air Venturi V10. It's a pistol that is fine to "plink" around the house. The plastic used in the frame of the pistol that houses the firing mechanism is brittle, and will break wit...

Re: K12 Junior - Is velocity adjustment needed?
Guessing hers shoots them faster than a full length K12? Longer barrels on CO2/PCP airguns produce increased muzzle velocity and energy transfer. It takes more time for the pressurized air to accelerate the pellet down the barrel which generates higher velocities. Since you are talking about airpis...

Re: FWB 65 - one spring model vs. 2 spring
The FWB 65 with a single spring, produces around 475 fps with a 7.0 grain pellet, while the two spring version goes up to 525 fps.
I think oem single springs are compatible within the 65/80/90 series.

Re: Morini CM162EI: Everything's leaking!
The screw is misaligned and does not look properly seated, that's the reason it still wobbles. Whoever did this fix is definately not an "airgun smith", but a "franken smith" that doesn't know what he's doing...

Re: IZH46M .177
For a 20 year old air pistol, does the cylinder still compress, holds air, and fires normally?
If it still functions fine and it comes with the spare seals, you could easily ask $500-$600 more or less.

Re: old vs new
From what I heard, old barrels were rifled in-house. Now, all their new barrels are sourced from lothar walther.
I have no doubt that FWB barrels are legendary, made to the highest degree of quality and accuracy, on par with Walther.

Re: Cheap pellets problem K12
The reasoning is that you can add it to sell the pistols for a higher price... An awful lot of top level shooters are still competing with Morini 162EI's, so I'm not convinced it's anything but a marketing gimmick. I wouldn't say it's a gimmick, the more innovative things you put into a device, the...

Re: Cheap pellets problem K12
Dirty, economical pellets can be cleaned very easily. Use a plastic container with some warm water and liquid soap. Move and swirl the pellets around with your fingers. When the lead sediments settles on the bottom, pass the pellets over to a strainer and flush the soap off with running water. Sprea...

Re: youth shoot player in CHN
No need to envy gun owners. I know gun laws in China are very strict, but if you love the shooting sports, you should contact the chinese shooting association. They can give you all the information you need, hopefully you'll find a coach/mentor to improve your skills.

When my AmStaff sees my pistols or rifles, he automatically goes into hiding mode. With the new year's celebration and the neighbors setting off fireworks, the dog didn't bark, hide, nor was he scared of the popping and exploding sounds.

Re: Fwb corkscrew barrel
Back in the 80's FWB made this technological feat to prove that their airguns are pinpoint accurate, even with a twisted barrel. Supposedly, only 2 or 3 prototypes were made, none for commercial sale. Certainly a good investment that will increase in value over time.

Re: Baikal IZH-46 Seals
For those looking to use o-rings as a less expensive option for breech seals: https://www.airgunnation.com/threads/izh-46m-transfer-port-o-ring-solution.1284693/ If you're not using the pistol for a long time, always lubricate the piston seal and dry fire before guarding to prevent dry rotted seals.
