Re: CCI Standard Velocity .22LR Quality?

I'm not a very good record keep-fireer so I cannot tell you what lot of CCI nor when i bought it, BUT... Lately I have had sporadic fail-to-fire, perhaps one out of one hundred with CCI SV. Sometimes I an rotate the round and get it to fire, other times not. I've been shooting CCI SV since about 198...

Re: Damaged threads on LP50 pressure reducing valve

I don't know what size these threads are, nor how badly they are damaged. However, would it be possible to chase the threads with an appropriately sized die?

Re: Waiting for special order

I am a very casual AP shooter, but I suspect that any kind of decent pistol occupies a pretty small niche market. It seems to me that THIS website, and several others, generally have a pretty fair selection of used pistols if one is willing to be a bit patient.

Re: Accurize shooting system

I just googled "Accurize Shooting Systems" and briefly looked through their website. Their system costs $280 and seems to be a laser-based device. You may also want to consider a Mantis X system shown here: https://mantisx.com Mantis offers several different products, some with motion sens...

Re: Why are Olympic shooters using a one-handed pistol stance?

Our *very* informal bullseye league permits two-handed shooters to compete, but they do so in a separate class from we one-handed shooters. While not traditional, nor within the official rules, this does attract some folks who would most likely not shoot at all if required to shoot with one hand. Th...

Re: WTB: Hammerli 208/215 Magazine

I recently ordered and received two aluminum Hammerli 208s magazine bases with base plates from Red Feather. They were $35 each plus shipping. Today (November 29) I checked the RF website and did not find them listed. There was some delay in receiving my order that they explained was because the qua...

Re: For Sale-all of our daughter’s equipment & guns

Shooterer, if one lives in a state where they are not allowed to purchase a firearm without state approval then yes, there would be paperwork required before transfer to a buyer living in the state with that requirement. Do not confuse federal laws requiring FFLs to “log” in firearms and requiring ...

Re: Any fun gun in Prescott AZ area?

Prescott Action Shooters has many matches. See here: https://www.pashooters.net/ Most are action pistol oriented as the name implies, but they do conduct silhouette matches too. Ben Avery Shooting Center is a bit over one hour's drive south of Prescott and they do have an air pistol range but I have...

I'm following. I've been loading Brazos 180gr flat-base coated bullets, but those are no longer available. Would be nice to find another supplier with an identical bullet of equal quality.

Re: Accurize vs MantisX vs Scatt vs Trace

I am primarily an NRA Precision Pistol shooter, but I also train with 10 meter AP in my garage to improve my slow fire skills. I recently bought a Mantis X10 Elite and I like it a lot. I believe it provides MUCH less statistical data than does the SCATT. However, it does provide several things I fin...

Re: Indoor range - what are you shooting at ?

The indoor range at which I train goes to 25 yards so I typically shoot at that distance. When load testing I typically use some NRA 10 meter air pistol targets because the black is very small. This target because I believe in the "aim small shoot small" principle. I generally focus on one...

New LP50 Grips

I've had a Steyr LP50 for some time now and I've been practicing sustained fire with it. It came with a large anatomical grip that was too big for me. My purchase also included a 1911 grip to emulate my other target pistols. However, the 1911 grip that came with the gun was significantly heavier tha...

Well, all the above links (those with "studio" in the text string) take one to a screen intended to initiate a new channel.

After a brief search I found this video which I believe is the one being discussed:

Re: Advice on S&W model 41

We shoot monthly matches from March through November, weather permitting. I clean mine about twice a season. I remove the grips and remove the barrel assembly from the frame. I scrub the frame feed ramp, barrel feed ramp, and extractor with a nylon brush. I also run a .22 caliber brush through the b...

Re: Over filling cylinder

If one has a 300 BAR cylinder, shouldn't a regulator be used to ensure against overfilling? If so, where would one buy such a device?
