Thank you for the update, David. What you said makes perfect sense to me.

Re: Graphic representation of sight picture
As I said, IMHO what you do to get to the final stage is virtually irrelevant. It's what you do in the final stage that's important. If, for example, you set the first stage at 350g and the second stage at 200g then you don't have to worry too much about how you take up the first 350g, you just hav...

Re: Graphic representation of sight picture
IMHO it depends how you have got your trigger set up. If you've got it set up as a 2 (or 3 including free play) stage then the only one that really matters is the final stage. How you get to the final stage makes very little (if any) difference. OK, so I shoot a Morini 162EI and I purposely removed...

Re: Graphic representation of sight picture
Very concise and illustrative of the affect of proper sight alignment versus sight picture. However, I do have one question related to that part of the video depicting trigger pressure. It appears that the trigger press is not a smooth and continuous movement from zero to the shot break. He stops at...

Re: Type of Paper Used for Air Pistol Targets
Not really. There is no way you can score with those holes once you start getting better groups.
(I use Kruger, 10 holes per target, and patch each targets once)

Patch each target once? Please explain how you are doing that. Thanks.

Re: Type of Paper Used for Air Pistol Targets
I shoot a monthly postal league with a few friends. When we started doing so, we were using the American made targets and had one heck of a time scoring because every shot tore the target instead of making a clean hole. It's really frustrating. Virtually ALL of the reading I've done here indicates t...

I *suspect* that "sensible" was confused with "sensitive", aka lighter pull.

Re: Aeron b98 rear sights
Anyone have experience with the rear sights of an Aeron B98? Just picked one off EBay and don’t know which knob does what or which way moves the pellet on the target! Here's what my manual says: "The width of the front sight (103) can be changed by unscrewing the screw (104) and rotating the s...

Re: Cataract surgery, part 2
I've been reading these posts with increasing interest as I am scheduled to get cataract surgery on both eyes in mid-late June. I have terrible myopia and have been wearing stronger and stronger glasses since about the third grade. As I would like to be spectacle free if at all possible, and have a...

Re: Cataract surgery, part 2
I was in a similar situation years ago. I was unable to adapt to monovision (one eye near, the other far) so I opted to have both corrected for distance. I now use prescription bifocals for reading/computer and a separate prescription lens for my pistol front sight. Works well for my. YMMV. Dennis

Re: Home made grips?
There is a device known as a "pantograph" that's used to copy flat drawings. I wonder if there's a similar device used for your purposes.

Re: Scope image bender!
I'm a pistol shooter, so may not be entitled to weigh in here. I wonder if some kind of "risers" might be helpful. I have no idea what's available, but if you elevated the sights enough perhaps it would resolve your problem.

Re: Which has a better trigger ?
I own the Morini 162ei with electronic trigger and I think it's wonderful. However, I have a friend who owns the electronic Morini as well as a Steyr, a Walther, and a Pardini which all have mechanical triggers. I've shot them all and NONE OF THEM feel like any of the others. Each trigger is unique ...

Re: Morini 162ei front sight height
Its pretty simple really ,the problem is not your front sight , the problem is your focus and concentration . you are subconsciously allowing your focus to look at the target and not the sight , basic principle of target shooting. By changing your focal point on target or altering your front sight ...

Re: Morini 162ei front sight height
Check you lens script, the first figure is the base lens ie. + 0.5. The second figure is the lens correction ground off the base lens (not added) ie. -0.25 The third figure will be the axis of the astigmatism ie. 110 degrees (starts from the nose and rotates up and outwards, looking from behind), s...

Re: Morini 162ei front sight height
I should have been more clear about my shooting glasses. The prescription lens that eliminates astigmatism is a "+" .25 diopter. Coupled with the +.5 I have a total of +.75 which seems to work pretty well. Sight is sharp and target is fuzzy. Another post mentioned shooting with both eyes o...

Re: Morini 162ei front sight height
It sounds like the Front Sight is not the problem, but your shooting glasses or lack of is the problem. If you use a correct shooting lens then the sight will be sharp and clear and the target slightly blurred. I have a pair of Champion shooting glasses with a custom prescription .25 diopter lens t...

Re: Morini 162ei front sight height
OK, here we go, and I hope I don't get clubbed over the head for this. I have been using a sub-six hold since I first read about it several years ago, and I have an incredibly hard time focusing on the front sight and disregarding the black of the target. I generally shoot in the mid-80s with not so...

Morini 162ei front sight height
Hello All, I know that Morini 162ei front sights are available in different widths. I'm wondering if they also come in different heights. I haven't been able to find anything on this, but seem to recall a post quite some time ago in which some one mentioned that they fabricated 3D printed sights. TI...
