Re: First shot = money. Why?
Your first shot is a good shot because you are shooting with no pressure; the "empty mind" of Zen. Trying to follow that shot is what messes you up. Welcome to what it's like.

Re: SCATT for a Mac person
Doesn't SIUS software still need some ancient OS?
BTW, eliminating bloatware did a lot to improve my Lenovo. It still sucks compared to my Mac, but it works!

Re: SCATT for a Mac person
Thanks for that information! It could be malware, but the thing was slow right out of the box. I think my problem might be bloatware, so I'll try to get rid of that.

SCATT for a Mac person
Hi all. I have a SCATT USB that I've been running on a bottom-rung Lenovo laptop and it's so painfully slow that it took all the joy out of training. I upped the memory to 8 MB thinking that might help (because I know nothing), and it's still awful. I haven't used it in over a year. I get the impres...

Re: What gun do you most regret parting with?
I sold a lovely Makarov in stainless steel with adjustable rear sight. Hated the recoil, but now I regret having sold it. Fits in your pants pocket.

Oh, that looks very promising; thanks! I had seen one other of his videos, but didn't know this one.

MG2 Evo trigger adjustment.
Hi all. I have a set of Matchguns MG2 Evo and MG 4. These guns are appropriately called "MG," because they're like a finicky British roadster -lovely when they work, but fiddling with them is part of the bargain. I'm currently finding it impossible to set the second stage on my MG 2Evo for...

Re: Mg2
Wow, you guys have done the rest of us a great service, doing all that experimentation! The slide weight issue makes sense to me (intuitively, which means nothing!). GWhite, the three extractors you show look a bit different to me in the lower photos. When you say you've adjusted the angle, do you m...

Re: Mg2
My most common problem with my Evo is stovepipes, with Eley, Norma-Tac and Aguila ammo; I have yet to try SK, and CCI has been nothing but trouble for me. I saw that comment about adding weight to the slide to make the gun more reliable and wonder if this is related to cycling speed. I was wondering...

Re: Tendinitis
A possible (partial) remedy might be to raise the pistol gangsta style and then rotate the wrist. Your elbow will end up facing a little more R-L than up-down. Don't know why or how I discovered this, but I feel less strain that way (I have no tendonitis, though).

Eley Bullseye "Sale"
Pardini USA is announcing they have Eley Bullseye Pistol X for sale by the case. I've never tried this stuff but I know that some of their ammo is very waxy, which I don't like. Does anyone have experience with Bullseye ammo?

Re: MG2-E disassembly.
Mine hasn't ever popped up on its own. The tiny spring in there keeps it in the down position unless I push it up, and it's held in place by the force of the slide spring. The screw does come loose after a very few shots, though. Thanks for the advice on the Lock Tite and the tip about the hex key!

Re: MG2-E
The slide block on my MG2-E has fallen off twice during normal use. Luckily, I've found it both times, but I wonder if should keep in place with Locktite 242. According to their documentation, "Loctite Threadlocker Blue 242 is designed for the locking and sealing of threaded fasteners which req...

MG2-E disassembly.
I'm going for the first cleaning of my Matchguns MG2 Evo. I see that this model lacks the screws on the top that are shown on YT to remove the slide cover. This model also has two pins on the side that are absent in the older version. Just checking if these are the pins I need to remove. One is forw...

Re: Super Lube Mystery Failure
Silicone comes from silica, and sand is silica. OMG, how can anyone think of using this as a lubricant. Oil comes from the ground, from plants rotting over millions of years ago. Disgusting. Salt is made of sodium. A soft metal that ignites on contact with water. And chlorine. A deadly yellow-green ...
