Re: High End Air PCP air rifles

AirArms are probably equal to Daystate for quality and are entirely British made, but use Lothar Walther barrels. BSA PCP R10 and various other models in the range are pretty high end, although the Spanish company Gamo own BSA, barrels and other components are still made by BSA Birmingham England

Feinwerkbau say their 'white' grease is an acid free 'Synthetic' grease, They are concerned people will put the wrong type of grease in the rifle and over lube it, if in doubt contact Feinwerkbau

Re: Off hand hold and rifle cant

I think the ISSF has shown concern over juniors shooting with to much back bend and twist, but I have no details, I'm finding the up right position much more relaxing and less painful as westernGrizzly commented on. Cant or no cant can be kept consistent with cant bars in the foresight tunnel.

Re: Off hand hold and rifle cant

Yes agree, stocks now are so much more adjustable you can reduce the back bend and twist quite a lot, I have had to adopt a more upright stance with the rifle and only a couple of degrees cant because of lower back pain. I have just increased my raiser block heights from 12-mm to 20-mm and it really...

Off hand hold and rifle cant

Hi, looking at many ISSF videos of 10-m air rifle shooting over recent years, shooters, both men and women are now tending to favour a more up right position with almost no rifle 'cant' rather than the older back bend and twist stance with cant. Any thoughts

Re: Styer lg 110

You don't see Steyr air rifles that much at matches, its the big 2 followed by Anschutz, Yet they dominate the pistol matches. Not sure if Steyr want to spend more money on a 10-m air rifle that is not that popular. In field target they are more popular.

Re: Walther LG400 air rifles. Pros and Cons?

Its interesting to note in the Olympic air rifle finals, Women's final, nearly all FWB rifles but most were the 700 which eventually got gold, In the men's final, most rifles were Walthers with the exception of Rocco Campriani who won gold with his Pardini.

Re: Loose Front Sight - FWB 300S

The fore sight on the 300S is fixed to the barrel by a tapered cotter pin, with a small hammer just gently tap the thick end of the pin until the wobble disappears.

Air rifle butt weights

Its quite common to see on the 10-m shooting circuit air rifles with added weight (some times wheel balance weights) stuck around the butt area, is there a tech reason, as I would have thought this would make the barrel/muzzle end too light and will be less steady. As we know, 5.5-KG is the limit. I...

Re: Niccolo Campriani Wins GOLD with a NON-HOODED Front Sigh

I see the plastic elements have cant lines, According to one article, I read, this system is also helpful to shooters who's eye sight is not perfect. Can you use M-18 and M-22 elements or only those elements supplied? Its interesting to note that in the Ladies air rifle final. virtually all rifles w...

Re: Front heavy or Back Heavy Air Rifle

In ways of the rifle book they suggest a small amount of muzzle weight to give it some inertia. but as most people have said, experiment to see what suits you.
I do think that a completely recoilless match air rifle may require a different balance point to a recoiling small bore rifle
