Re: Walther LGM-2 Repair question
Update: I disassembled the rifle, and it is a blown valve seal. I'll get with Mr. Pilkington and see if he can source a spare seal.

Walther LGM-2 Repair question
So my LGM-2 (it's an SSP for those who aren't familiar with them), is failing to charge. I swing the lever foward, which opens the action, and then normally I'd bring the lever back, charging the cylinder with air. What I get currently, is I swing the lever forward, action opens, and then as I bring...

Re: 10 M aiming ethics
I've used a proportional hold (the post that's linked just a few above this one), in free pistol for while with moderate success. I do find if more sensitive to lighting than some of the other options. Changes in the direction of the light can make the gap between the base of the target and the top ...

Re: Front sight "bounces" when prone shooting
To clarify the "bounce" is seen after recoil, or are you saying the sights move as the gun fires? If it's the first, verify that the butt of the rifle isn't slipping in your shoulder a bit under recoil. Depending on you jacket that may mean tightening up the shoulder on your jacket. You ca...

Re: Do we have any Italian members?
They advised they no longer us normal channels and instead use a specific shipper who charges insanely high rates. Please note: From March 10, 2017 all shipments, will be carried exclusively by GLS shipper. We are sorry we cannot ship by post. Import licence is not required from you. 1- 0107 Firing ...

Re: Do we have any Italian members?
True, but I figured if Domino was going to be crazy on shipping, folks in Italy would probably be the least likely to be hosed over.

Do we have any Italian members?
I'm looking to get a few spare for my FAS 602 pistol, but Domino wants to charge over $150 for shipping. The actual parts are worth a grand total of about $20. If anyone is based in Italy and would be willing to ship them to the US I'd be grateful. With that said I have no idea if that's a violation...

Re: ISSF Rule Corrections
I ended up getting an app for my phone called TargetScan, that can score in integer or decimal. It will read a target much like Orion and generate shot plots, scores etc. No it's not electronic scoring, you've got to let it scan the target after the shot. However when shooting Air Rifle on a 12 bull...

Re: Practice pellet recommendation and source
While it's not directly applicable to Air Pistol, I will say on occasion you will find a pellet an Air Rifle just flat out doesn't like. Or conversely likes a whole lot. For me, I found when benching my rifle that RWS Basic shot one hole groups off the rest. Other pellets shot great groups, but not ...

Re: Steel pins all over the grip
I'd recommend a light coat of either fine sand, or if you want something a little grippier, aluminum oxide grains, embedded in either a coat of latex paint, or for a little less tack, urethane. Both of those will give you enough grip they will take skin off. The latex paint will stick to your hands ...

Re: Setting up an air sports club, what would people like to
acorneau hit the nail on the head. The main focus is giving folks who are serious about the air sports a serious place to practice, train, and compete. However that doesn't prevent causal shooters, and new folks from coming in and trying things out. Obviously the air sports are a little different fr...

acorneau: Ha, okay good point. It was interesting to see a 100% yes response to the question of a competitive league. You do however bring up an excellent point. ghillieman: Any thoughts on a reduced distance metallic match? I have a buddy with a CNC laser cutter that could easily make little metal ...

Re: Setting up an air sports club, what would people like to
Once I figured out how to post the results on the survey with any identifying information removed I'll do so. One of the interesting things is that with over 50 responses for across the globe, there is a 100% interest in a competitive league. It's great to shoot targets at the range, but almost univ...

Re: Anyone Here Have An Opinion On Venturi Air Compressor
A moisture trap and oil trap or combo trap aren't hard to find. They use them for air that feeds spray guns, either of those will damage a coat of paint. Though admittedly finding a trap rated for 4500 PSI might be a bit tricky.

I believe I had read that a FWB 300 had a very like cocking action. I can't find the source I read that from, so I can't verify that.

Re: Air gun shooter survey
Thanks to all who have taken the survey so far. Chia: My long term macro hope (well beyond growing the sport and making a living doing it) is that if this succeeds, others will see it and decide its a good business opportunity in their area. Sort of like how rock climbing gyms have appeared all over...
