Another shooter once asked why do you take off the tuner to clean the rifle, I showed him the inside of the tuner and mention I'd found that my groups where better when it was clean. So he took off his barrel extention on his FWB, first time ever. A barrel recrowning was the only way to get rid of t...

Just a 50m shooter but the hottest day would have being 42c (107f) in the shade.
The coldest, it was about -3c (27f) when we started in the morning, bugger of a day, about half of the bullets required a second go to fire.

I was curious about it's wind-bucking abilities mainly, heavy bullet etc., for a "*pig's ear*" bench-rest rifle.

* Can't turn a pig's ear into a silk purse, but with some work you can turn it into a nice leather pouch.*

Sigh: I guess no-one has yet used them with a 1:7 twist barrel.

Since I can't get them (the bullets), it will have to remain a "one day" project.

The high ranking shooter was a member of my club. I saw that he just waited until he was off the range and the clubroom so not to accidentally interfere with the rest of the range still shooting before he let fly with his "comments" to the swearing shooter. I was quite luckily to have shot...

A place that sell industrial equipment would be a good start, a heavy duty hardware store.
If it sell $70 electric drill kits, don't bother.
If it sell $70 single drill bits, try there.

It can be as simple as no-one has ever told them off. I've seen at one match where one shooter was swearing at every missed shot, his neighbor ( A very high ranked shooter) said nothing. Until that is he was off the range and in a low voice proceeded to slowly tear him a new arsehole. The swearing s...

I'm most likely the cheapest benchrest shooter there is. $ 50 BSA Martini action old club rifle. $ 100 BSA fixed powered scope (light, cheap, strong, accurate) $ 200 benchrest $ 200 barrel tuner ( ok I got it gold coloured, it looks pretty) If you want top scores, you'll need to spend a pretty penny...

Lets see, Tenex is about Au$3100 for a case of 5000, so spend some time to standardize (weight, length, width) say Match that cost Au$1700 is a massive savingof Au$1400. or use a barrel tuner. $1400, That's about 6 prize meetings around the state I can afford to go to. (just fuel costs plus entry, m...

Some of our older members used to weight and measure everything to try and get 60 bullets that were the same.
Or you can buy top of the range bullets.

Your call.
