I shot a GX1 for 4-position for about 8 years. It was a very comfortable rifle to shoot, had good balance in off hand and a decent trigger. The system you have was very similar to the one used on the Winchester Model 52C. Al Freeland's version was an attempt to improve on the Winchester version, neither of which proved to be the answer all.

Have been casually shooting pistol for a number of years now and decided to get serious about it.
