Foresight Iris Ring Thickness?

Hi Guys,

I know this can be personal preferance but I was wondering what the general concensus is, a thicker iris ring say 1.4 or a thinner one say 1.1?
Any advantages on either?

Question On Fitting

I have always been under the impression that the tighter the jacket the better? As in the jacket will help keep the shooter stable, I'm talking about prone shooting.

Regards,

Very nice IRLConor! Clean looking setup.

One question, how do you find the Gemini buttplate? Have you had to adjust the top section sine the new EC requirements came in re:25mm rule?

Denton - It's a carbon fiber skin layered over an aluminum chassis You are correct. The aluminum is necessary for mounting the action and the sliding weight system under the barrel. I must say that the cheekpiece is the most impressive part of the stock. Almost infinitely adjustable. Thanks Gru, Ha...

What a stock!!

I hope they got all the drool off of it :-) Congrats on an incredible rig. It was a religious experience just to hold it :-) So that is where those stains came from... Don't worry, I'll send you the bill. :) Really nice stock Gru!! Can I ask if the stock is made completely of carbon fibre or is the...

Hi Doug, It's a disappointing situation you find yourself in, not just the financial side (its hard to find an extra 2k to spend on anything these days) but the disappointment of the item you purchased in good faith...very poor workmanship and customer service from the supplier, I can only hope that...

Pretty Poor Workmanship!!

Hi Roadthing, Is it too late now to get your money back? From June of last year, thats 6 months? It's still under warranty I presume? I agree with other posters, fixing the issues yourself is not the road I would take personally, go back to the supplier and request them to fix your issues you've out...

Whch Jacket Will Pass EC??

Hi Guys, Has there been any comment from any of the clothing manufacturer's regarding the new jacket seam rule? I've read Kurt Thune will rework recently purchased jackets for free but the shooter will pay shipping costs, but have any of the companies actually stated that their jackets or any new ja...

Hi,

This question is based on the assumption that the shooter only shoots ISSF prone.
I presume any of the top shooters will batch test ammunition, which I will again presume gives them very good results, so what advantage would adding a tuner into the equation give?
Rgds,

To Eric U and G Starik, Your views are much appreciated, thank you both. I would like some advice on buttplate setup, would people use the hook to locate the butt in the shoulder or use the upper section to locate into the shoulder, I've been using the upper section and to be honest the hook section...

Freeland Scope Stand Spring Pressure

Hi, Looking for some advice...I have a thing (not sure what they are called) that allows me to adjust the elevation of my spotting scope (while I'm in position) which is attached to my Freeland scope. It's like a piece of flexable wire with a knob on the end. My problem is the spring pressure is suc...

I would be inclined to go with the Sauer, have seen some full suits and I was very impressed with the overall quality. I would stay away from Anschutz, I feel the stitching is not up to scratch at times, the sling keeper on the new Hitex looks very flimsy having seen it in person, I was very surpris...

Trigger Release

Hi, So I've been concentrating on my trigger release for the last few weeks, here's what I think is happening. While I'm releasing the shot the trigger kinda gets ahead of my finger, if that makes any sence?? The trigger blade leaves my finger behind a little. I make sure my finger pressure and pull...

New MEC Straps

Hi, From what I can see the new replacement straps for the MEC sling are approx 1.5x thicker than the original, thats the fibre strap,so lifespan will be much longer I assume, or you have the option of getting a leather strap also, I've have no experience of those though... I would highly recommend ...
