Re: Pellet - Variation of speed during a match ?
Friends, If the cilinder is fully charged, ~200 bar, the speed of the pellet is meant to drop after ~85 shots, or, as long as the manomether stays within the "green zone" the speed shouldnt have considerable change ? All rifles has the same behavior ? Thank you. It should stay the same in...

So the last time a major gold medal won by the TO3-35 was in the 1996 Olympics. Now I don't profess to be an expert, but this is certainly NOT a morini and looks very much like a toz 35 to me. And of course Gourianov won gold at Fort Benning this month, with it. But that is frankly irrelevant. It's...

...as the only checks are the post match random equipment and clothing (and doping) checks. Rob. 6.8.5? That wasn't what I was refering to as jury members have always had the ability to check anything, pretty much at any time. I was referring to the checks conducted as part of the equipment control...

I'd go for the toz for a starter, unless you're lured in by the (relative) newness of the morini and its electronics. Toz's still feature in every major championships and every final that I recal seeing pictures of, so they are undoubtedly more than good enough for anyone. Same with any new gun thou...

Given that equipment control is now voluntary assuming the 2104 ISSF rules are followed, I'm not quite sure the point of stickers. I also would not put stickers on cylinders because they will interfere with fixing them to the gun, never mind the issue around glue etc. Stickers are (were) normally on...

Re: Smallbore Offhand Issues
I was just wondering if anyone had any tips or tricks they knew of that could help me slow down and fix my issues The answer is really just training. You need to train the right process and repeat it often. Once learnt just remember to trust it and follow your training. It's simple to say, but gene...

I don't quite understand something here. Assume the sighting group is centred. During the match, if you check npa each shot and make whatever micro adjustments to left elbow, feet etc to put it dead on the dot, why the need to click? (indoors) Because the shots aren't going through the centre of th...

I tend to favour developing coping strategies rather than trying to recreate the pressure artificially. So get your shooters to focus on technique just as they do at any other time. The process of shooting doesn't change so why should the mental pressure part ? Focus on each shot as a match in itsel...

Whilst you can of course point your toes inwards, it is not recommended. You want to be standing comfortably and not with muscles and joints stressed - that leads to pain and potentially more serious problems. You will also find that most world class shooters do not have their feet parallel, they ar...

For prone I move across the top row left to right, then the middle and lastly the bottom row in both indoors 10-bull cards and outdoors 6-bull setups @50M. There are alternative methods which involve smaller movements, but as long as you check your NPA on every diagram, and again every shot, it does...

It counts as an olympics qualifying score should they acheive it in that event. Not in World Cups before 1st August 2014 Rob. True, I forgot that bit. Yes, but to put world cup gold medalists and world cup finals champion for MSQ extra? What did they get out of it? I hardly can see why Ma jiaje nee...

In general most people do normal cardiovascular type exercises which help stability. The next level on is probably looking at developing your core stability. You can use things like balance boards and learn to stand still on them, even adding in a pistol. Unless you have big stability problems I'd b...

There were a lot of shooters having issues with boot flex at this WC. We had to make major cuts in the soles of my daughter's boots to get them to pass. The same boots easily passed at Bavarian Airgun in Munich just a couple months ago. I saw several other shooters with the same issue..... Boots no...
