I will change my sights after a single shot with no concerns. A click is a very small amount and may just 'steal a 10'. I find as a shoot progresses my point of aim may change slightly, the light can vary (if outdoors) and your eyes can get more tired. If you wait to see a proper 3 shot trend before...

Am I correct in thinking there's no way UK viewers can watch these ? I don't think OLN broacasts to the UK or via the internet.

I would suggest you pop down your local dealer, take of the grip and try it. I know the Steyrs have quite a lot of adjustment and believe that the SAM and walther also do but I don't know the specifics of any others. Same thing applies though in that you should look at them all and see.

From my perspective I was merely asking the question about his pistol record since it was conspicuous by it's absence in the original post. It doesn't matter to me because I'm in the UK but I am (was) just curious.

Or if you wanted the (air) pistol in question then look at the equivalent 162.pdf file on the same website.

Seems a strange switch from running target to pistol. I also wonder how much experience the guy has of coaching pistol, nothing is mentioned and I would have thought that would have been a big pre-requisite.

I would disagree and suggest that diagonal is OK. But you will need to convince your mind that it is straight. Something like creating a single white line from you to the target or a small rectangle over the same should suffice. You obviously also need to angle both shooting bench and target.

I saw a comment once that said something like "it's not the winning that matters, it's the taking part until you lose" Everyone wants to win and olympic athletes must surely want to win. I would go so far as to say if they don't want (expect) to win they shouldn't be there. Sure it's a dev...

Steve, You may get there by just throwing more competitors at it - up to the allowed max of 2 per event, but I doubt it. I would imagine it's more down to coaching and specifically coaching for the olympics including the significant amount of mental training / preparation. I'm based in the UK so I'm...

Craig,
You may also find just placing a proper used target behind is sufficient to stop the tearing. We had a batch of proper targets that tore badly and the 2nd target as a backer was sufficient to stop the tears.

All the advice I've been given is that the 1st and 2nd stage should be roughly equal. That suits me fine and enables a crisp, easy to find end of 1st stage. That also suits my way of shooting (and/or my coaches <g>). It is down to personal preference but for me my LP10 feels great and I would certai...

No, chrono's should record .177 pellets with no problems (we use our club one indoors). Yours could be more temperamental or faulty.

Ken, I use the LP5 but I would personally choose the LP50 if I had the money to spare. The vast majority of people seem to choose the Steyr 5 shot air pistols over anything else - which o me says quite a lot. The LP50 is very similar to the LP10, which is a proven design and favoured by many of the ...

Or if you prefer metric measurement that's 1.40M. More details are on the ISSF website - eg, lighting etc.

Jim, Cylinders will hold their pressure almost indeffinately. As to whether or not they should be left for longer periods of time, that is another question. Short periods are deffinately fine. The other problem is hand pumps is they generate moisture. You need to bleed the hand pumps on a frequent b...

I'd like to hear the official word regarding this as well as the glove thing. How is that an unfair advantage is beyond me. It - and anything else - becomes an unfair advantage when the rules are bent for just specific shooters in particular circumstances. While we go about getting riled up over th...
