Re: what .22 pistol would you choose?

Will be used for standard pistol target. Many experienced shooters regard the FW93 and the Walther SSP as unsuitable for Standard Pistol specifically. Reason: significant muzzle jump, detrimental in the fast series. Pardini SP and Matchguns MG2 are the most comonly recommended ones. Internationally...

Re: Gripsize feinwerkbau aw93

The barrel length will play no part in accuracy. The AW93 and GSP are older pistols and are both very good. The SSP has little to no recoil and what little it has will be directed straight back and therefore allows for it to be especially suited for rapid fire. However, I use it and don't have inter...

Re: Gripsize feinwerkbau aw93

I bought an AW93 brand new with small grip. This grip was stock from the factory and I have small hands. It fit great. The pistol will fit from small to large so no worries there as long as you order the correct size. As for the Walther SSP, I have one of those and bought an after-market Rink grip i...

It's true, Stella's injuries were horrific and McDonalds was well aware of their error.

Re: Shooting air rifle in San Diego

There are lots of ranges to practice and train, but I haven't ever seen any events held here. There used to be a monthly event in Orange county, but I am not sure if that is still going on.

Cheers,

But it did help. brilliant sir! It ejects perfectly now, so the magazine needs to be inserted to eject the cartridges.

Many Thanks!

Hammerli SP-20 Failure to Eject

I just got my SP20 RRS and have only run dummy rounds through it, but it won't eject. They are extracted, but the extractor is holding on and not ejecting. Does anyone have any experience with this or have any advice. I am planning on taking it to the range, but I'll try one round at a time to see w...

Re: Bad cylinder

Thanks for the info, guys. Keep it coming. Deadeye, I tried to unscrew the "bad" end with a wrench and my bare hands, but it wouldn't budge. I was afraid it might have a reverse thread, so didn't go further. Any advice? Try using a heat gun around the threads and perhaps the aluminum tube...

Re: best all round pistol for olypmic style shooting?

Please don’t be offended blackberrygoose but your “ho hum” Pardini impression is more likely due lack of experience. A longer term comparison would probably result in a different view . The Unique was, and still is a fine pistol however the majority of experienced olympic event shooters are likely ...

This was the information I was given. Don't expect too much detail or a swift answer via email, so I would recommend a phone call. Janet Raab Director of Sales & Marketing for Competitive Shooting Walther Arms, Inc. 479-242-8500 ext. 291 479-646-4206 fax janet.raab@waltherarms.com 7700 Chad Coll...

Re: How often has your range been tested?

Typical misleading story. The story said For the public, shooting firearms is the most common way of getting lead poisoning outside of work, according to national statistics. The CDC study mentioned only "the most frequent non- employment exposure to lead. It made no determination of sources o...

Re: Hammerli 208

The 2 black screws between the silver ones do require a bit of torque. Use the included allen key and tighten the screws alternately until the mount is snug. When I remove the mount for cleaning and reattach it, it stays very close on target.

You can usually get a 215s for a better price and the only thing you are giving up is a nicer finish.

Re: Question for Walther SSP Owners

I'm not sure why more shooters aren't using this pistol unless it is underrepresented in the olympics and world championships. I'm really enjoying mine and rank it highly among those I have tried. Also, I would think that for rapid fire, it would be strongly considered.

Re: Question for Walther SSP Owners

Hi, thanks for the explanation. That makes sense. I would think that it isn't too good for the firing pin having shooters shoot that imaginary 6th shot. I think that mine is about 6 years old or so and is not the first batch but perhaps the one after that. The recoil is fantastic and my aim point ba...

Question for Walther SSP Owners

I just bought a used SSP and went to the range today. First off, I really like the pistol and the recoil is amazing. I've got 2+ questions: 1. Is the slide supposed to stay back after the last shot? I assume that Walther would make this happen. Any reason why mine does not? 2. The button to release ...

Perhaps Jon can help you. He shoots a Toz, I believe, and as you know, is a superb bullseye smith. He did some work for me on an Agner and anyone that can figure that thing out can fix about anything.

I also seem to remember something about putting the cylinder in the refrigerator a few hours before filling. That way, you can likely get more CO2 into it.

Re: Pistol case maker

I went with this one:

https://negrinicases.com/gun-cases/hand ... 23uts4839/

$17.77 shipping so it was under $150 after all was said and done. It's a bit pricey, but it looks to be first rate for my Hammerli 215s.
