Thanks for the info, I have read your article. Maybe I wasn't sure of what I was asking. Do we stay with a 45 ACP, or do we go with a 38 special wadcutter? It has been 25 years since I shot bullseye. Things have changed!!!!! I have acquired 2 gold cups, a S&W 41, a 35M russian, and have worked o...

My "new" IZH-35M and trigger questions

I have to gloat a little. An "as new" IZH-35M for $300 at a gun show. I took it apart as instructed, and cleaned it. The trigger is giving me fits. In what order do I adjust the trigger? Where can I find magazines? The trigger feels like it has a 3 stage pull, I can't seem to get it workin...

Anybody used a Tanfoglio match for competition?

I have been looking at a Tanfoglio match in 9MM or 45 for bullseye, kinda maybe. Has anyone had any experience with these pistols?

Beretta 92 for bullseye

I have a 70 series 1911 gold cup that shoots very well. I am not trying to replace it, but have been considering a Beretta for an alternative. What needs to be done to a 92 to make it a bullseye pistol? What can be done by self, and what needs to be done by a 'smith? Lots of options, I am sure, mayb...

HS Citation and using a red dot in competition

After years from bullseye, I have decided to try again. Is a scope mount that replaces the grip legal with a red-dot in competition? What about a 1911 pistol?
Thanks

Hammerli/Walther Olympia advice needed

I am looking at one of these pistols with the muzzle brake, and weights chambered in 22 short. Excellent condition. It does not have the grips with the right side rest, but checkered in both sides. I can get it for $850. Is this a good deal, and is it OK for Bullseye shooting. I have a early S&W...
