Interesting question. I've never "broken in" a .22 lr barrel, as such, on the theory that the lead bullets are too soft to have any effect on the bore. I've also been warned by my shooting buddies that I risk ruining the barrel if I don't go through the "5 shots and Shooter's Choice&q...

There haven't even been arguments before the SC yet, have there?

And, the issue is whether DC can keep the gun bans that its had in place, or if the 2nd Amendment really is an individual right.

It's a no-loser for gun owners, as far as I can see. At worst, nothing changes.

Two dealers, who should have known better, were looking at one's personal carry gun, and had an accidental discharge, wounding a bystander in the leg. That was it, pretty much, for shows in Monroeville. When the PA Gun Collector's Association lease was up, the Mall wouldn't renew it. The show had to...

" If you are in a bind for a magazine, you could always use one from a S&W M41, you only need to file a notch for the mag catch. (The magazine body size and lip angles are the same) "

Is that correct?

If by "double" you mean that the gun unexpectedly fired two shots with one pull of the trigger: In my experience, when that happens, it's time to adjust the sear, to give it a little more sear engagement. Or, maybe, be more diligent about fully releasing the trigger between shots. (The ret...

mad/guest/ee/er,

We have different, much happier, experiences than you allege with the MG2. Why can't you just accept that? It seems as if you question the honesty, or sanity, of anyone who is satisfied with the pistol.

Add me to the list of satisfied MG-2 owners.

And, it does seem somewhat cowardly to slam a product so, as an anonymous "guest."

Larry Carter sells them, and services them, here in the US, and does a good job of it.

He did not have any AP40's in stock as of last week, however.

Both AP's are capable of the usual "one hole" test target, as are all of the major AP's. The Kite that I have came from the factory with what looks and feels like a Nill grip on it. I really like the feel of it.

I guess you could say that the pressure guage on a K2s "is" the end of the cylinder. As you pump it up, the end of the cylinder is pushed outward, and silver rings appear, 3 in all when it is full. As you expend the air, the rings disappear into the cylinder. The manual tells you how many ...

For what it's worth:

When I bought my MG-2 from the late Don Nygord, he included a scope base that fit the holes in question.

He did, however, mention that I probably wouldn't want to use it, since a red dot scope goofed-up the balance of the gun.

SAM was handled by Nygord Precision, in the US. I still have my SAM K15. It's an excellent shooter. I was able to buy some extra cylinders from Don's widow, as she was closing out their business. But, I don't know of any dealers here currently handling the SAM line. My hope is that Match Guns MG-1 p...

789,

I bought the gun, used, from Don Nygord. He had overhauled it, before I got it. I shot 30-50 rounds a week in it, October - March, with occassional airings in the warm weather months. It is still in use, although no longer by me.

I had a 603, and was very fond of it. I kept an eye on the recoil buffer, but, otherwise, had fairly trouble-free shooting. (Except for cutting my thumb on the magazine lips, when loading the magazines.) They are not very popular here in the US, but I suspect that is because we are mostly bullseye s...

Jane, 1) You shouldn't have any trouble with parts or service for a Pardini SP. They are easy to mount a red dot on, and you can easily adjust them, if you decide to do so. 2) If you're using iron sights, longer barrel length / sight radius is easier to shoot accurately. But, if you'll be using a re...

I favor the Browning Buckmark as an entry-level gun for <$500. The trigers tend to be much better than the Ruger. And, on a side note: There's nothing wrong with rejecting an entry level gun because of its takedown. If you spend more time putting it back together than you do at the range with it, or...
