Re: nmondal's goals
So my goal is very simple. If I were to shoot in 1 minutes notice, without any prep time - any time in the 24 hours - I should score more than 94/100. IMHO that is not a good goal. You would do better to have process goals e.g. To have a smooth trigger release (not disturbing my sight picture) on a...

Re: Using Club pellets?
I've lost count of the number of panicked students who've come to me after putting pellets in backwards. Except in a match, I tell them to just shoot them. They are usually amazed that they shoot quite well. From the confidence point of view I have always advocated carrying a knitting needle to cle...

Re: Steyr LP 50 Trigger/Sear Adjustment?
Don't expect the Steyr 5-shot triggers to be as good as their single shot ones. They're not in the same league.

Re: Help assembling/mounting Walther GSP rear sight
The old site blades slid off to the side.
I'm not sure whether the newer blades will fit on the old pins.

Re: Air Tank 2
What's the maximum output pressure of the air generator?
My guess is that it will be nowhere near 2900psi.

Re: Looking back at the Olympics
But it made me wonder why in shooting we still have separate competitions for men and women? Th IOC hate Open events. Mixed teams are OK because there is an equality of medals. Apart from equestrian, where the horses play such a large part, I can't think of any other Olympic sport that is Open (but...

Re: The winner of the Women's 25m Pistol Olympic Final is....
The need for insurance was no better illustrated than by the Indian AP shooter and the issue she had with her Morini. A spare pistol might have saved her day. $2k is nothing compared to the costs incurred to get in the door at a high level competition. I understand that she was carrying a spare but...

I don't think I ever had to use one of my spare guns in competition.
You don't carry spare guns because you need them, you carry them in case you need them.
They are just insurance: a small cost in the overall scheme of things.

Can you give us the rule number.
If it's 6.7.9.1 b then that refers to body taping, as rule 6.7.4.2

Re: Sexism
I bet the ioc would like nothing more than to be able to cut more shooting events. Or we could lobby for more, different events: And you would fail miserably. The IOC are trying to reduce the size of the Olympics while still introducing new sports. How we managed to maintain 15 shooting events is a...
