Re: Duelin' Experts

When you talk about a "proper" set up, and "designed for", what exactly do you mean? Are you simply referring to the presence of the relevant adjustment screws, or are you citing a higher authority? If the latter, who/what would that be? Simply from working, for short periods ov...

Re: FAS Trigger

My FAS 607 trigger has a nearly-continuous roll, as was set up by Rob Potter, with a little tweak by Warren Potter. You say "nearly-continuous". Does that mean that you can feel the stop before applying the final let-off pressure. If so then what you describe as "nearly-continuous&qu...

Re: Why 2-Stage Trigger?

In fact I would guess that a continuous "rolling" release - like the FAS has This is an urban myth. If your FAS has a continuous rolling release it just means that either the user has decided to set it that way or the trigger needs to be set up by someone who knows what they are doing. Wh...

Re: Pardini SPE ???

A friend of mine has an opportunity to buy a used SPE. I know there are some breakage problems somewhere. Is it in the frame or the slide? Can the cracks easily be seen? If purchased, do these pistols always break or can they be a sound investment? Are the SPE built the same as the SP, other than t...

It depends what you want to use the gun for. If you just want to shoot the slow fire matches then go for the LP10, its trigger is far superior to the LP50. If you want to shoot matches that need a multi-shot pistol then you must go for the LP50. You will still be able to shoot the slow fire matches,...

Re: Aeron B98

I have shot both the Steyr and FWB and neither one could work thru a whole magazine of 5 shots without a malfunction of some sort. Then they should be serviced by somebody who knows what they are doing. I have had an LP5 since 1997 and the last time I had a malfunction was............I can't rememb...

World Cup Finals

ISSF TV has some good, if somewhat limited, footage from the World Cup Finals.

It looks like they are finally enforcing the blinder rules (although the 45 degree ready position of one of the ladies in the 25m Pistol looks questionable).

Nice interview with Mathew Emmons.

I have looked at what other have suggested and it doesn't look to me as if any of them do what you want. The Target Timers one seems to be the closest but, as you say, it doesnt have "late shot" sensors. Is that facility really needed, you already have 2 of your own, one on each side of yo...

For Steyr grip sizes look at the Steyr Guide on the "Pistol" tab. The sizes are in mm.

So i will ask you, how do you feel about the stict gun control in england? Was it nessasary? And has it actually prevented or lowered the crime rate. I'm afraid that is totally off-topic but, as you ask, the legislation was un-warranted, un-necessary, disproportionate and in-affective. Only the law...

We are allowed .22 single shots provided that they have a minimum barrel length of 300mm and a minimum overall length, with no easily removeable parts, of 600mm.

Back in the old days when we were allowed to have cartridge guns in the UK and I was reloading a LOT of .32 I would only use CCI 500 primers. In a GSP and a FAS 603 I cannot remember aver having any primer related problems. I stopped reloading when CBC (later to become Magtec) 32 became available. I...

He will have been disappointed with his final. Third place going in, but finished seventh.

He's still young and got plenty of time, and certainly the ability, to medal in the future.

You are allowed to use a V rear sight with a thin front sight in ISSF pistol shooting, but it is a LOT less accurate then square block type sights.

The same applies to aperture sights on ISSF rifles, they are just more accurate.

Re: sights are square why

I have just bought my first pistol for 10mtr (IZH46M) but there doesn't seem to be any decent air pistol clubs in the South Yorkshire area of England, I don't know how far it is from you but there is a very nice airgun range in the old laundry at Wakefield hospital. From memory it is about 15 firin...

Re: morini or rink grip

in my country (Bolivia) I have never seen a rink grip, alone in magazines or in the web, there is not a specialized store where to see one. My apologies, I tend to forget that some countries have less choice of such things than we have in the UK (although our choice is not particularly brilliant). ...
