Re: Do you think this grip extends past the Wrist?
"The wrist must remain visibly free when the pistol is held in the normal firing position." This is not "visibly free" by any means. This thread demonstrates how deceptive photographs can be. I learned many years ago that you can only make a fair judgement when seeing the gun be...

Re: Do you think this grip extends past the Wrist?
The cheat in RF was to put your hand in almost all the way for the test, then put it all the way in to shoot. According to a comm games rf shooter. 6.8.4 Jury Members must continuously observe the shooting positions and the equipment of the athletes. 6.8.5 Jury Members have the right to examine the...

That might be a bit too long. In the Air finals you only get 250 seconds for the 5 shot sections and 50 seconds for the single shots.B Lafferty wrote: ↑Tue Mar 30, 2021 4:50 am DF7 Dry firing, finals Focus on process/delivery, shot in 75 seconds

I would recommend NOT using silicon grease on the adaptor threads, for the very reason you say.
It's fine on o-rings though.

Re: New Manurhin MR73 Match shipment arrives in Oz.
I wish...... I lost mine in 1997 when centre fire pistols were banned in the UK. A brilliant pistol in .32 S&W long. Careful! Levine doesn't want any political discussions on this site. It's not just me. I don't remember you shooting a Manurhin Brian, and we certainly shot next to each other en...

Re: Bullet Sizing 32 S&W
Auto's are FAS .310"-.312" up to Hammerli .313"-.314" Slug your barrel to find out the size. Use soft lead bullets .001"-.002" over barrel size. The early FAS 603s in the mid 1980s had .308 barrels (as designed). They would happily shoot factory Geco or Lapua factory r...

Re: Scoring 32 as 38
That is exactly the same principle as ISSF score measurement. The score is based on the centre of the shot, but its relationship to the scoring ring is checked either with oversized plug gauges or electronically. In ISSF the electronic may use the centre of the shot to read but not how its scored. ...

Re: Scoring 32 as 38
We need to remember that the "score as .38" also benefits .38 Special revolver shooters (although not as much). You get the same thing in the.22LR and air events where the score is computed at the nominal calibre, rather than at the actual projectile diameter. Of course, when using electro...

Re: Dry firing during match?
While dry firing is prohibited during finals, is it ok to raise the gun to perform a hold? That's not a problem. ISSF Rule 6.17.1.3 g):- In Finals, holding and aiming exercises are permitted from the time finalists are called to the line (“ATHLETES TO THE LINE” command) until the “STOP…UNLOAD” comm...

Re: ISSF Boot Rules
I believe that the sole dimension rule came in 01/01/2013. At the same time there was a requirement that the forward part of the sole should be of the same material. The shoe flexibility testing with a measuring device came in 13th May 2011. Shortly after that many rifle shooters had to drill holes ...

Re: Dry firing during match?
ISSF rule number? If that was a serious question about dry firing in a final, rather than about Rover's gas expulsions, then it's 6.17.1.13 e):- In Finals, dry firing is permitted only during a Preparation and Sighting Time, Changeover and Sighting Times or a Preparation Period, except that dry fir...

Unscrew the filling adaptor from your tank/pump and screw it into the cylinder.
