I shoot a GSP Expert and love it. I also have never had a malfunction of any kind. I can put any ammo I desire to shoot through the gun. I think the main factor in selecting a Pardini or a GSP Expert would be the grip angle.

Cleaning a Walther GSP Expert

What products are people using to clean their GSP Experts? I have been using Breakfree but was looking for some new ideas. The lower portion of the GSP Expert is not made of metal, so is there any products you stay away from?

From all the research that I did prior to purchasing the Walther, it seemed that nobody really liked the Hammerli's after they closed shop. If you like the sport and think you are going to stick with it, I would look to a Pardini or a Walther. If you have to save up for a season, I would purchase a ...

Re: Hammerli Xesse

What is the general opinion of the Xesse target model? I may be scouting around for a .22 to start up in bullseye. Yes I know the M41 is a treasure ...and most of the time costs about the same. And yes the Xesse can get pricy too. Have thought about a Bernadelli also. I know the Ruger has LOTs and ...

4 moa vs. 2 moa

I currently have a Walther GSP Expert with an Ultradot 4 moa scope mounted. I always thought that the 4 moa was little too big at 50ft. I have thought about purchasing another scope with the ability to switch from 4 moa to 2 moa. Did anyone see their scores go up switching from 4 to 2? Was it easier...

Ammo used by ISSF Shooters

I was watching a couple of matches on ISSF TV the other day. I noticed one Chinese shooter was using some type of RWS premium ammo. I know the most used pistol is the Pardini. What is the most used or most popular ammo?

I used CCI SV in my GSP Expert for all my practice rounds last season. I never had a malfunction. I would use SK Standard Pistol for my matches. The only complaint I have with the CCI ammo, is the wax lubricant they put on the rounds. I find that I have to clean the pistol more with the wax being in...

A lot of people have a problem with smaller caliber guns and knockdown power. I personally wouldn't carry anything smaller than a .380. I also wouldn't carry anything bigger than a 9mm. Believe me, you shoot somebody in the chest with three .380 rounds and they'll feel it. Also, don't be concerned ...

You need to be more specific regarding how you are going to carry this pistol. During the warmer months I carry a Ruger LCP. I have a pocket holster that works well. When it's warm outside, you don't want to be wearing mutiple shirts to conceal your handgun. In the winter months when you can wear a ...

I usually clean my GSP Expert every 500-700 rounds. I always use a nylon brush and coated rod from breach face out toward the muzzle. I never bring the brush back through the bore in the opposite direction. Was told by a good source that if you can't find an actual copper bore brush, then only use n...

Buying a GSP in preference to an SSP makes no sense in any way, and the front heaviness of the GSP is nowhere to be found on the all alloy SSP. The two pistols are worlds apart, and it is important for prospective buyers to know how 20+ years of development have distanced the old horse from the new...

Save yourself some money and buy the GSP Expert. Even Earl (importer) will steer you away from the SSP. You can't beat the GSP Expert.

At my club we have about five pistol team members using gsp's and gsp experts. I've had my gsp expert for about three months and have only had one failure to fire that was ammo related. I've used several brands of ammo without a problem. I love the gun and can't recommend it enough.

I also CCI SV. I have used it since day one in my GSP Expert. I've probably put over 2000 malfunction free rounds through it. I'm not sure if the ammo is really good or the pistol's reliability is that good.
