Re: Hammerli 208 trigger adjustments
The upper one is for pre-travel, out is less, in is more. The lower one is pull weight. Out is less, in is more. There's also a sear spring weight adjustment screw in the magwell, at the upper rear. In is more, out is less. Overtravel is set with a hidden screw accessible when the trigger guard is p...

Re: Hammerli 208
This crack is claimed to be the result of a worn recoil spring, which allows the slide to impact the frame too heavily. And/Or the use of high velocity ammo. I didn't bother to note that. I figure that if someone owns a gun of this type and doesn't know not to use HV ammo, they shouldn't complain i...

Re: Hammerli 208
I own 3 208's and have never had a cracked frame on any of them. That being said, here is where they (supposedly) crack most often. This crack is claimed to be the result of a worn recoil spring, which allows the slide to impact the frame too heavily. Note that some of the coils on this spring are q...

Re: Hammerli 208 optic mount
Eggchamber, I am extremely interested in this mount, and would buy 2 of them right now, if they were available to the USA. I know nobody in Germany to get these sent to, so I will be of no help to you in that manner. If you do figure out how to do this, *PLEASE* let me know! Thanks! EDIT: Maybe you ...

Re: Cleaning walnut grips
Can you apply the Watco oil directly over the factory finish on Rink and Nill grips, or do you have to do some sort of prep work first?

Re: Best powder thrower for .32
Another vote for the Redding 10X. It's great for small charges. I've been using mine for 40+ years now. Have tried others here and there, but keep coming back to the 10X. Only one that's even close is the RCBS Little Dandy, but you're restricted to fixed size drums, unless you customize one.

Re: freETarget
There's already a commercial version of this available. They use it at the range I go to for 200m service rifle matches. It's been up and running for over a year now. Works just like the version in this thread, using the four microphones on the target backer but instead of a long USB cable, it uses ...

More importantly: OP, how did you buy Team from Good Shooting? It's (and all other Eley) shown as "out of stock".

Anschutz USA sells RWS. Don't know specifically what their inventory situation is, but check the website.

Re: Redding T7 press issue
Try getting in from the bottom with your wire, maybe even with a tiny "hook" or bend at the end of it. Work on it for a while to make sure every last one is out. Once you have a jam-up, it's easy to have one or two primers remain stuck at the bottom of the ram where the bend in the tube is...

Drat! They must already be sold out, I don't see them listed on the website.
Does anyone have a spare XXXL pair that they'd be willing to sell?

Welcome to TT Mark!
If you're limited to just a few guns, the Hammerli is a great choice for a 22. They shoot great, and it should last forever. Enjoy it!

Re: Grooved rifle receivers... 3/8" vs. 11mm question
Will this same sight fit grooved 3/8" US models like the Winchester 69A, 72, 9422, etc...? Thanks for any help here.. No it will not. An 11mm dovetail is different than a 3/8" dovetail. You will have to find a sight made for a 3/8" dovetail if you want to mount it on a 3/8" dove...

Re: Hammerli 208 / 218 large barrel weight
The barrel weight in your picture is a factory 300 gram version. To the best of my knowledge, there are factory 80g, 200g, 270g, 285g and 300g barrel weights. I have two different versions of the 200g weight, one that looks more like the 300g one in your pic, and one that wraps around both sides of ...
