Re: What is SASP?
Hi AG, In regards to negative connotations, yes NRA is known, so I'll leave that one alone. I am huge supporter of the CMP and I am the state director for Tennessee, but CMP is not without its own baggage. They've cleaned a lot of that up but past board members of the CMP were also cut from the same...

Re: What would happen to air rifle without special clothes?
One could equate 10m air rifle to drag racing. If your goal isn't to win, then you have no reason to complain about those who do want to win and will do whatever is necessary to win within the rule book. Sporter class air rifle could be equated to factory class stock car and Elite level Olympic leve...

Re: What is SASP?
SASP is the Scholastic Action Shooing Program. It is a complement to the SCTP Scholastic Clay Target Program. Both of these High School and Collegiate programs are overseen by the SSSF Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation created by the NSSF National Shooting Sports Foundation. It is huge. At the C...

Crosman Rear Sight CDPT1 Sloppy Threads
Hello All, Prior to the release of the Challenger 2021 our team purchased 4 Challenger 2009 rifles that were shipped with the new CDPT1 sight sets. The difference between the older sight and the newer one being the ability to cant the sight, and the knob direction. The link below shows the sight I a...

Re: Problem with SCATT being Off-Call
USB IR Scatt at 10M. I had set up 3 systems side by side. Only one of them would work reliably. It was separated from the two that would not by a 3' square concrete column. Conclusion, there was cross talk between the two that next to each other. 48" firing points. Once I put them 3 firing poin...

Re: old vs new
The test target that shipped with my 1985 Walther LGR was superior to any test target I have ever seen with the new guns bought for our school. Is it a superior rifle to the FWB of today. No There was noticeable recoil and the side stroke handle would move on every shot. One of my former HS athletes...

Sport Pistol at 50’. Targets?
I have a new junior shooter who wants to start ISSF 25m sport pistol with the .22. We only have a 50’ indoor range. Is there a reduced version of the B17 target?
Or, should I simply have her shoot the B17 and based on shots close to the center evaluate her hit/miss percentage.
Thanks
Mike

Re: Kowa TSN-1 a good spotting scope for smallbore outdoor prone?
Bird watchers are probably the most meticulous scope critics. Find some of their more popular forums and see what opinions they have. They may also have some buy, sell trade options where a good deal could be found. On another note: Light gathering ability is usually the benchmark for spotting scope...

You are correct, and I stand corrected. Considering the huts and the barracks it is cost effective.

Re: Survey Results from
Port Clinton is a vacation destination for many besides shooters. Considering an individual shooter, (not a party of 4) a hut is $100 a night. The CP hotel is $100 a night. Hotel lodging within 30 minutes of the range is over $150 a night. The only affordable lodging is the barracks, of which I've s...

Re: The State of Smallbore Rifle Competition in America
Your are not stirring up trouble at all. My answer to Peter was a response as to why USA Shooting Championships weren't included in the last question regarding which of the 3 National Championships were preferred. And you are correct, in that a prone championship was (while unspoken) part of the sel...

Re: The State of Smallbore Rifle Competition in America
Why is the USAShooting National Championship not included in the last question of the survey? When USA shooting begins running Men’s Prone and a 4 day 6400 they will be included in the conversation. As you well know, USA shooting is unique in they are our governing body with a voice at the USOC tab...
