Re: Kurger targets are no longer accepted by the NRA
If NRA no longer recognizes Kruger targets, and a match director wants to use Kruger targets for the match, it seems the solution is use whoever targets you desire and sanction it with an organization that actually promotes competitive shooting in 2021. There are a few out there.

Re: What jacket would you recommend for prone?
Tim S has given you great advice. One thing not mentioned is whether you plan to shoot in ISSF sanctioned events. If yes, then the coat must meet specifications. If this isn't a criteria, but you still want to outfit yourself with the best chance for prone shooting success, consider a Kurt Thune pro...

Freeland Shooting Products
From another Forum Many people are familiar with ChampionShooters.com and Freeland's shooting products but the ChampionShooters.com website went down in 2019 and the business that was purchased in 2016 was abandoned by the new owner. The good news is Freeland's is making both old and new competitio...

CMP 3PAR Match Schedules: Thu Fri Sat
I'm not sure why but the Dixie Doubles and the Gary Anderson schedules for Anniston are 3 days, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. November 4-6 for the DD, and December 2-4 for the Gary Anderson. And for Camp Perry the only day listed for the GA is Thursday the 2nd of December. No Sunday shooting. This ...

Re: Electronic target scoring methodology
Another interesting note I discovered at the range. A brand new box of Kruger target masks for the Sius 10 Meter Air Rifle Target. With a stack of 7 or 8 pulled from the box I looked to see how well the 4 alignment holes and the target hole lined up. I would say perfectly. Then I took one target fro...

Re: Electronic target scoring methodology
Consider this. Silver Mountain and Shot Marker systems utilize a large black paper circle for the aim point. The center is calibrated by hand with a measuring tape. The Sius, Megalink, and Kongsberg target masks are a sheet of paper with hole cut in the center the size of the aiming black. The backg...

Re: Electronic target scoring methodology
The center is the center regardless of where the center of the aiming mask is. That is what sight adjusting knobs are for on the rear sight. It is not physically possible to position the center of the target mask exactly to the center of the electronics. I would venture each time the mask is replace...

Re: Electronic target scoring methodology
Did anyone ever create the translation table? Or, an excel formula that would take the X value and Y value, perform the math and generate the score value. One score as the raw decimal value and the other as the integer and center shot or not.

Re: 2021 Intercollegiate Rifle Club Championships
Once it become clear the NRA had, once again no plans to run the Intercollegiate Club Rifle Championships, the ASSA was asked to sponsor the Championship. The leadership met to discuss the who, what, when, where and how last Friday and again on Sunday. We finalized most of the items on our agenda an...

Re: Precision Air Rifle for Junior
One of my Junior female shooters is shooting the LG400 Monotec. This stock is also available in the left hand configuration. It is probably the most adjustable stock made by Walther and appears to be intentionally modeled after the KK500 smallbore rifle. It is the top of the Walther line. Being the ...

Re: Precision Air Rifle for Junior
Much of this answer depends on whether she is shooting 3P air rifle or only standing air. Some of the stock configurations are made specifically for standing air. While they can certainly be shot in prone and kneeling, and the adjustments can be made to optimize them, it's not made for speed. And 3P...

Re: Weaver T24
I purchased a new Weaver T24 model 849976 with the fine cross hairs, 1/8" Dot and 1/8th minute clicks from Natchez shooters supply early in 2020. I am a smallbore prone shooter, and 62 years old. Prior to that, I had been shooting with my 2" Unertl barrel mounted scope. I wanted to reduce ...

Re: SIUS Electronic Target
Do you know approximately how much this system would cost in the US, if purchased as a single unit for home use? I recently requested a quote from Sius US for a HS10, with the lifter, all the cable, software, targets and shipping. Ready to shoot $3301.24 It was a budgetary quote. But you can reach ...

I use the Saur special prone mitt and the MEC hand stop fastened to a Anschutz precise stock. 20 minutes into the position and my hand is usually asleep, but not in pain.

Re: spotting scope question
My particular purchase of the scope body and eye piece are "Made in Japan". It is totally plausible that internal components could be manufactured in China, but I am reasonably certain that is not the case for the TSN82SV and LER 25x eye piece. So for the OP who was looking for a quality s...

The adage of you get what you pay for is clear in this respect. " Well Mike, in this case, you actually don't. The 2 things you need to look for in a spotting scope are - Coated Bak4 prisms Use of ED glass ( Extra Low Dispersion ) If you bought a scope with both of those, you would be hard-pre...
