Re: Steyr Sport Evo10 and Evo10E

some thoughts about canting/ canting-adjustable sights: if you do an experiment and shoot your airgun ghetto-style( at 90 degree angle) you'll see that the point of impact differs extremely from what one would suspect, not just because of gravity, but also because of the rifling of the barrel. so if...

Re: Steyr Sport Evo10 and Evo10E

You're welcome. I just hope we don't see the start the same silly thing here as with bow manufacturers, where they sell you the same bow for decades, just change the name and the looks every year, include some minor improvements, and present it as something totally new. by the way(CONSPIRACY THEORY!...

Re: Free pistol match ammo

one thing to keep in mind about pistol-specific ammo: they're all designed to cycle a semi-auto, so there's most of the time a harder kick compared to rifle ammo.(and this means even on the rws sr). on the other hand, rifle ammo may be too slow, as i learnt the hard way by testing & getting some...

Re: Free pistol match ammo

as freepistol is also a very sensitive discipline, and dependent on the way of your hold/grip, i'd get every different ammo i could get and check for feedback while shooting first, then test the sorts/brands you liked best/ got the highest scores with, and get as much of the best grouping ammo from ...

[quote][A Morini with a Steyr rear sight could be a fun project./quote] you could easily make an adapter like on the 162short and fit the pardini k12 rear sight instead! maybe even modifying the existing adapter could work by removing some material and drilling 2 holes. to me even better than Steyr ...

Re: Opinions on Match Guns MGH1 mechanical.

Also couldn't find any contact info on the site... So i googled them: try office@maennel.at , as the phone number i found is working, i just called outside their business hours, i think the email-address should work, too. Keep me informed if you get an answer, otherwise i give them a call when they'...

Re: Opinions on Match Guns MGH1 mechanical.

got a similar problem, but the other way round: wide hand, shorter fingers. try maennel.at , they have a lot of different models and also a sizing chart. but they offer for steyr only. i don't know if they still work with ciro fiore as in the past, but i had them do a custom grip in ~2009, he took a...

@ shaky hands: let me ask her in about 3 weeks, maybe we get an answer( it's also possible that there may be a contract between the ukrainian team and steyr) had jin jong-oh's new free pistol grip in my hands last week when i visited my fellow shooting-club colleague Francesco in Bedano with my fell...

Re: Opinions on Match Guns MGH1 mechanical.

@zanemoseley: Despite the stabilizer/no stabilizer thing, i would first of all consider your handsize in choosing a pistol: the steyr is a better fit for large hands because of its large frame, whereas the "Italians" are also suitable for smaller hands. Check the grip manufacturers on whic...

Re: Morini 162 poor muzzle speed consistency?

before you do it: when was the last time you had serviced your pistol and how old is it? as i never had to clean the circled area before (was always clean, just replaced seals and spring there), maybe it's a defective seal or a seated spring ( the velocity spread on my 162ei is about 2 fps). best sol...
