I own an 1813 Olympic 1984 Anschutz R/H, number 298 off the line. Mine came out with the original wooden 1913 stock and the slimmer buttplate carrier system. I believe these rifles had select barrels put in them, and by the way mine shoots I would not dispute it either. I say by the rifle as it will...

DougB,

It's a little hard to make the 10m Air rifle "10" ring any smaller than it already is, is .5mm now and its outward gauged.

As Quest1 said, it will make little difference to the top shooters who a taking the dot clean out.

Gecko, I dont think you can exclude the G&E RSIII from the equation. I know your from GB and the System Gemini is " Made in Great Britain", so there is probably a bit of bias towards it, but the G&E is easily on a "Par" with the Gemini. The current world number one prone ...

While I have a lot of concern with all these issue'e too, as we are in a Olympic cycle I dont think they can change or implament any of these changes until after the London Olympic's??? but I may be wrong?? As for Gary Anderson, I dont want to offend an American's out there, but as good as a shooter...

An even easier method. Firstly, get a bench vise and put a piece of thick leather either side of the jaws of it, and old shooting sling works well. leave the bolt intact but de cocked. Clamp the bolt knob as tight as pysically possiable in the vise (only the bolt knob), with the body of the bolt sti...

Yeah, I'm sure the ISSF would be more than happy for us guys to shoot 3 Positional matches in just a "Mankini". Might be a bit sore shooting kneeling though

Its the same as pistol, just that the front sight is 3x further away, unless you use a bloop tube then its obviously further away again.

Ideally, you want the front sight insert/element as sharp and crisp as posiable, then just centre the target/blob depending on how good your eyes are.

SK is made in Germany and is owned by LAPUA. (it's written on the side of the boxes) Lapua moved its factory from Finland to the SK factory in Germany a few years ago. This is when, I beleive, the quality of SK dropped as I saw a huge change for the worst not long after the move happened. Pre the mo...

I shot with an G & E Hammer Sharks sight extention for about 2yrs. I was great in that it increased the sight radius the 6-8 inches needed but was a lot lighter than a Bloop Tube. As fars as affecting the harmonics, I had a great batch of ammo matched to the barrel before using the hammer shark ...
