Re: MONTHLY AP LEAGUE, AUGUST 2019

I'm using regular scoring. Decimal scoring would start adding up points real quick.

Re: MONTHLY AP LEAGUE, AUGUST 2019

I don't know if it's too far away for you, but I'm running an AP match at the Palo Alto Rod and Gun Club in Redwood City on September 15th. I've attached the match program with the details. I have an Izzy that you can borrow for the match.

Re: Looking to get back into air pistol

There are a few Morini 162's on buy, sell, trade going for around $1000. You'd be able to stay sub $2000 even if you bought a new left hand grip.

Re: 2019 AP and FP matches@PARG

We're having an Air Pistol match this Sunday August 11th, and there is still plenty of space to sign up. There will be a 9:00 am and a 11:15 am relay, you can find more information in the match program above. To encourage folks to give my matches a try, I will waive the entry fee for first time part...

Re: 2019 AP and FP matches@PARG

An even month is fast approaching, so you know what that means: Air Pistol! We'll be running an Air Pistol PTO on Sunday June 9th, with the usual 9:00 am and 11:15 am relays. The match program in the second post on this thread is for AP, so check that out if you'd like more information. And as alway...

Re: Anyone here been or going to Canadian Grand Prix?

Does anyone know what kind of paperwork I need to bring my pistol back into the US? From what I could find, it looks like I just need to fill out a Certificate of Registration For Personal Effects Taken Abroad. Glad to see there will be a few of us representing the US in pistol this year. Whatever h...

Re: 2019 AP and FP matches@PARG

The Palo Alto Rod and Gun club will be running a USAS sanctioned air pistol PTO on Saturday April 20th. As you may or may not have heard, a PTO shot within the last year is required to sign up for the National Championships. This is your chance to take care of that and compete against some of the to...

Everyone's posting their matches, so might as well join the fun! The Palo Alto Rod & Gun club will be shooting AP on even months, and FP on odd. Please check the attached match programs for dates and entry forms. The Olympic trials are coming, and who couldn't use some practice? We've got electr...

Re: When to get a better pistol?

To go off of Gregbenner's post, http://www.califpistolmatches.com shows a lot of the matches in the Bay Area. Right now the only air pistol matches in the Bay are at the Palo Alto Rod & Gun Club, but you'll be happy to find electronic target carriers on every point, and shooters eager to share t...

Re: Skanåker Grand Prix

Has anyone from the US shot this tournament? I'm wondering if it worth traveling that far to shoot one match. It'd be nice if they had air pistol for men too, just so you could do more shooting. And that $2100 first place prize is looking rather tempting. Maybe next year!

I'm currently using H&N in 4.49 and they are working great, but I figured it couldn't hurt to test another pellet. I've been trying match the test target's one hole group and have not been able to achieve that with any of the pellets I own. I've gotten close with H&N, but it's not quite there.

RWS R-10 in 4.49

Does anyone know where I can find these pellets in the US? All the websites I've found only sell them in 4.50. The test target for my LP1 was shot with 4.49 and I just can't pass over the chance of squeezing more accuracy out of my pistol.

I adjusted my velocity screw about an 1/8th of a turn for each string of 10 shots and that narrowed down what velocity my pellets liked. I also made sure to go too low and too high in velocity to make sure that the groups were as tight as they were going to get. Since we're on the question of optimi...
