Do you feel that using it helps your slow fire scores or at least makes up for lack of real fire training?

Thanks for the information.

Are any of the cheapies red dots relatively parallax free?
It seems as this is a big difference between the $30.00 unit
and the $90.00+ units.

Inexpensive red dot for bullseye practice with air pistol?

My club range is closed for early summer due to a massive upgrade of air handling/ heating system. Until the range is back in operation I have an Izzy 46m that I would like to do a bit of slow fire red dot practice with. I see that Pyramid air has an appropriate rail on sale for the 46M right now an...

It worked last night but seems to be down today. Now its back up.

Gee, it sure looks as if they are still produced.

So IZH is still making these?????? Perhaps one might be able to obtain some
mags from a European friend?

double check those cheap foam plugs

I shoot between large bores too so earplugs arent an option, they dont protect enough.(yeah maybe those made to fit but I dont have these). If you do a bit of checking you will find that the inexpensive foam earplugs (the kind you roll between your fingers before inserting) decrease sound by ~30db....

But I do think that it's different from the AMU grip. I use the AMU grip and the ZG that I was shown was rotated towards the thumb a bit more. My understanding of B.Z's grip, which could certainly be wrong, is that one places the "life line" of their hand along the back strap of the pisto...

If you deal with one gun or will likely never switch dots gun to gun, use the 1" UD with Burris Zee rings. The "extra" low work with the regular UD. . Jack, Do you hve a link for "Extra Low" Zee Rings. I haven't been able to find them via Google or a trip to the Burris web ...

Yikes...forgot to sign in originally and it sounds like weight might be an issue for you. Clark, Excellent points ...........while the difference between an Matchdot and basic Ultradot is only .9 oz , I have to think that the steel Weaver rings would add a lot more than that amount extra. I am a rea...

Re: grips

My hand was also too big for the standard grips. I had semi-custom grips made at Neil Johnson guns. Cost was very reasonable, service was great, and the gun shoots well enough to warant putting on better looking, and better fitting grips. http://www.nealjguns.com/ss_store/CustomGrips-ss2.html The V...

Do you want to trade grips? mine is nearly stock, only with slight mod, still too big for me because I lost patience of carving, so it is still too big for my small hand. bztain, Thanks for the kind offer. It doesn't look like there really has been very much wood removed from these grips except to ...

My IZH 46 grip seems way too small - Guidance sought

Before I purchase a used IZH 46M without ever holding one I had developed the firm impression that their grips run very big. The gentleman that sold me the pistol mentioned that he had done a bit of carving but the grip was still very large. The good news: Shooting the IZH is a blast. I haven't shoo...

Champion's Choice is a winner for me....must have misssed them in my search effort. I need some other items they carry too.

Thanks for locating a more local offering.

Seeking an outward scoring gauge for air pistol targets

After seeing how significantly an outward gauge reduces the "guess work" in scoring 10 meter air pistol targets, it seems time to obtain one of these little gems. The problem is that it appears that RIG no longer makes them and no other resonably priced gauges pop despite my best Googling ...

Re: AP in Rochester, NY

Hello Hugh, We run PTO's at the Rochester Rifle Club. You can shoot them there anytime since, we are setup for 10 Meters. Also at RRC, Air Guns are shot by the Jr's on Tuesday night. If there are opening (which there almost always is) adults can shoot too. The PTO's are open to all but, otherwise y...

Any 10 meter pistol venues near Rochester, NY?

This afternoon I received a used but new to me ISH 46M. Its an early retirement present to myself. If I show any talent with it what so ever I'd like to shoot it in the company of other more experienced pistol shooters. Are there any venues in Rochester or this side of Rochester that you know of or ...

The best silicone grease is "high vacuum" and is best liberated in small quantities from a high school chem lab. . Hmmmmmm so that 6 ounce tube of ultra high vacuum grease that has been in my desk at school for the past 20 years might come in handy after all;) Thanks for the tip. Hugh

Re: what are the essentials to care and feed an IZH

Just to piggy back on this topic, I have a used IZH 46M that should be coming to me within the next week.
