Re: Pistol Hold and Grip Fitting
A primary option is to try and get use to holding the pistol with the barrel, hand, forearm, upper arm and the eye lined straight. But, it requires you a hard physical effort. Have you ever seen Korostylov, UKR. e.g., in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gwrh8TigM3A time=26:10 ? You will realize that...

Re: Pistol Hold and Grip Fitting
Hi Chris. Sneak up on it with felt. Hard felt for shoe insoles is adhesive backed and easily trimmable. see what you like before you glue hard stuff to the gun Felt .. hmm .. interesting idea, I just read in another thread somebody used playdough too to get a rough idea on fitting. I actually bough...

Re: Pistol shooting shoes...do they work?
I have a pair of Sauer shooting shoes and think they help. As has already been said it keeps everything the same (I usually wear the same or similar clothes too). I don't mind shooting in my socks buy I figure there's no point in doing that as it might be frowned upon or not appropriate at certain ...

Pistol Hold and Grip Fitting
Hi all, Right handed shooter here. In NRA Bullseye I hold my pistols with a Zins grip (pistol angled a bit to the right) which gives me a natural point of aim .. not with the pistol going straight up in alignment with my arm like you see the action pistol/defense guys teach. On my Morini 162ei stock...

Re: Accurize Laser Trainer For 10m AP?
G’Day. I recently tried one and had some problems; 1. The laser unit has a spear rod with small o-rings to hold in the barrel. The spear is about 3cm long. It is clearly designed for barrels where the crown is accessible. For my AP, the compensator is so long that the spear doesn’t seat in the barr...

Re: Accurize Laser Trainer For 10m AP?
If anyone happens to be lurking here in the future and wondering the same thing I was about inserting an Accurize laser trainer in the bore of their Morini, Buck at Pilkington says it should be ok. I just ordered one, it’ll be here in a week from the date of this post, if anyone wants to know how it...

Accurize Laser Trainer For 10m AP?
Hey guys, Has anyone tried the .177 Accurize Laser cartridge in their 10m AP for dry fire practice and fun? I recently bought the .22 version for my Ruger MkIII target pistol and it’s very accurate, and very well made and packaged. It’s made out of precision machined aluminum, anodized red, and has ...

Re: Is 10 Year Old Scuba Air Ok For Pistol?
If you ever get an answer of what goes bad in "old" air that makes it unsuitable for air pistol use, I would love to know. I used my old air, and the the old air that was stored in the cylinders, my guns still shoot fine and I have put 25K rounds through them after the old air was used up...

Re: Is 10 Year Old Scuba Air Ok For Pistol?
I don't know how the air could go stale, or increase in moisture content. I doubt anyone filled it with anything but air. Assuming it was dangerous for the sake if argument, would it be safer to move it full, or bleed it off? You may as well just bleed off pressure by using it in your Morini. I was...

Is 10 Year Old Scuba Air Ok For Pistol?
Hey guys, so I bought this 80cf aluminum scuba tank brand new from Sports Chalet dive department about 10 years ago to shoot my Steyr LP10, I ran a few cylinders in the pistol then lost interest. The tanks been sitting covered in my So.Cal. garage ever since nearly full of air, it looks like new and...

Re: Need advice on filling my Morini 162ei
You can put some on the gun, but putting it on the fill adapter will lube the same threads that go on the gun. Once you get it lubed that you can see it is there, there is no need to lube again until you think it has diminished. Certainly not every fill, maybe every 10th fill. Roger that, thanks ag...

Re: Need advice on filling my Morini 162ei
Thanks guys, it’s all coming back to me. If I remember correctly you don’t need to put any lube on the brass Moroni adapter threads where it screws into the scuba tank yoke correct? Thanks again! Chris Correct. Where the adapter screws into the fitting pretty much will stay there. It is where you a...

Super Lube Differences?
Ok for the life of me I cannot find the tube of Super Lube Scott gave me with my Morini 162ei. So I went to Amazon to get some but there are different versions. I did a little research here and it seems the Super Lube 21010 is what I want right? At this Amazon link below is 21010 .. but looking at t...

Need advice on filling my Morini 162ei
Hi guys, I’ve been away from 10m AP for years now but have a renewed interest. I have a Morini 162ei I bought new from Scott 5 or 6 years ago and never shot it, before that I had a Steyr LP10 which I did shoot. I have a regular aluminum scuba tank I bought 7 or 8 years ago from a dive shop that’s st...

Scuba Tank Question
Hey guys,
I got a new scuba tank for filling my 162ei. I forget if your suppose to put a couple wraps of teflon tape on the brass Morini fill adapters threads before screwing it into the DIN adapter, is the teflon tape needed?
Thanks,
Chris

Re: Why Do So Many Dislike the Evo 10?
I'll give credit to the Morini 162, it's the grandfather to all the modern day match pcp air pistols and is still kicking ass till this day. Sold my LP-10 here and bought a 162ei from Scott and couldn't be happier. However if I win the lottery I'll be sure and try out an EVO too as its a damn sexy ...

Re: Would would it take to make 1911 competitive
The problem is the activism of CA police at Ranges. My understanding is that they look for people who might be doing something that makes perfect sense but violates the letter of the law. I only frequent one range, but it's one of two public ranges in the greater East Bay Area. I've never seen what...
