Congrats on entering your first Bullseye match -- that's exciting! For me, the most practical starting timer was one I picked up in the kitchen section of my local store. Years ago with all the travel I did, I knew the wear and tear (crazed baggage handlers!) would eventually affect the timer, so I ...

Reloading isn't an option. All the Dillons went with the advent of divorce. Not a bad price to pay for freedom.

Thanks much for your help. My husband confirmed that it says, ".38 Super" on the chamber hood, but since it feeds .38 special wadcutters without a problem, you're probably right that it's been rechambered. The accuracy job was done by Giles. The local ammo store confirmed too that 148 gr w...

Bullseye Load For The Colt .38 Super

I have a few reloads left for this gun before it was sent to a gunsmith to repair a bad sear. The brass is stamped ".38 special" and they're wadcutters. These wadcutter reloads fed fine through the gun and fit in the magazine. Here is my point of confusion and hopefully, one of you in the ...

Thanks Terry for your suggestion. As a girl, I'm pretty lame with any type of building project (although nail guns are cool!)

I was able to locate the 500 gram weight from Brownells -- and I'm glad they're in the States. Buy American, right?

Gehmann Air Pistol Trigger Gauge (Weight)

I'm in CA and am trying to find a local retail shop and/or US online source to purchase an air pistol trigger weight. I have some matches coming up and would like to avoid walking in with a too-light-of-a-trigger and getting booed. I've seen one for sale on Intershoot, but I have no clue about conve...

I'm in agreement with everyone who stated that if you could find a club that would let you try out a few different models, it would be easier for you to come to an informed decision before unloading a chunk of dough. When I first started, I had a Daisy because it was inexpensive, plus I wasn't all f...

I prefer keeping my firearms with me in the room, including the ammo. Being a pistol shooter is convenient as far as dealing with small packaging. I'm nervous of ammo being affected by the heat of a locked car, so there's a bit of back-and-forth transporting. My pistol case has both a combination lo...

Sorry shooters but on a lighter note, keep away from foods that produce gas.

Suggestions For Air Postals Within the US?

I'd like to get back into air pistol competitions, but don't know if anyone is offering air postals that are geared for International Bullseye.

The last one I participated in was run by John Doolin in Arizona.

Suggestions? Thanks!

I'm trying to get back into shooting air matches, but I've noticed that during the equipment check, my 1st stage trigger is too light to pass inspection. After making the adjustments to get the trigger weight to pass the inspection, I no longer "tweak" it or make changes. The gun remains t...

I prefer that gravity take its course, so with iron sights, I lower. Using optics is another story!
