Re: Age degradation of skills
It was not a World Cup; there have been no World Cups in Sweden since before 2009. The locations in 2009 were Changwon (Korea), Beijing, Munich, and Milan. The Final was Wuxi in China. 2010 saw Sydney, Beijing, Fort Benning, Belgrade, and a final in Munich. 2011 saw Sydney, Changwon, Fort Benning, ...

Re: Age degradation of skills
Just a thought. Ragnar Skanaker won either a world cup in his country a few years back when he decided to come back and have a shoot and he would have been into his 80s at the time Certainly not a World Cup. The last time he won one of those was in 1993. He did shoot the World Cup circuit in 2004, ...

Re: ISSF World Cup Prone - Clapping during Final Shots
Couldnt disagree more. I think it makes it better to watch and also ahows who can cope with pressure better. They should bring it in in golf and then it might not be so damn boring. Oh and the Olympics isnt just about the competitors. The day when they think that nobody wants to watch it at all will...

Re: Free pistol match ammo
Thanks for everyone's comments. I have shot pistol, rifle and shotgun all my life, but am new to the free pistol game, although with no intentions of becoming an Olympic contender. This is strictly for fun and personal challenge. I am fortunate to belong to a local club that has ideal facilities fo...

Re: cross eye dominate
I would get her a set of out riggers. I am hugely right eye dominant. My left eye is almost double as good as my right. Even with that with concentration and after a lot of training i can become right eye dominant. I shoot a lot of different sports and i have learnt to mix and match. I shoot pistol ...

Re: Will the Anschutz 54.30 replace regular 54 action?
Plus it would be a big step towards the death of the anschutz. No way would i buy a new anschutz over a new walther if the walther had a rear mounted loading port that i could load without lifting my arm and you had to break your position every shot to shoot an anschutz

Re: Is grip fitting as simple as...
I have a Morini free pistol grip that needs a bit of fine tuning. I've tried a few small experiments, but I'm not sure where to start whittling/puttying. I'd like to get input from the forum on how to best approach it. if I bring the pistol up naturally with a relaxed grip, the sights point slightl...

I am also not sure about how it beds especially in a 300m rifle that the barrel gets hot in. I have seen plenty of barrel block stocks but mostly in bench rest rifles. I have a barrel block palma rifle in the post at the moment and intend to also put my small bore rifle in the same stock. I was goin...

Re: Crowd behaviour at ISSF Finals
Dear David M, There is lots of golf to watch on TV. Why don't you join the crowd. Best boring wishes, Don There's no need to be rude, I think we're talking about competing in these conditions, not so much watching. If people enjoy rowdy and offensive behaviour they can go to a soccer match, I would...

I use vargas. I fail to see how paying the extra money for champions helps your shooting in any way. They may be easier to set up the first time but once set they are no different
