Re: Arm strength and conditioning

I use a 5 Lb dumbbell and raise and hold for 20 seconds as if I'm shooting timed fire. Maybe 10-12 reps twice a day . It may help a bit but at 75 yrs old I think it's a losing battle. Oh to be 30, 40 or 50 again.

Re: USA at the World Cup in Munich

If you go to the final results in each event, at the very bottom you will see a link forqualifications. That will give you all competitor results We didnt do so well. I wonder what happened to Sanderson. Had a DNF.

Re: Load for .32 S&W Long

Dave Wilson suggested to me to try H&N 100 grain wc, 314 diameter with 1.9-2.0 of W231 in my Pardini. Groups shrunk significantly to 3-31/2 inches at 50 yds. Not the tightest but it just isn't a 50 yard gun with stock barrel unless you are lucky.

Re: Air pistol / Free pistol in the Pittsburgh area?

Palmyra Sportsmans club holds several international matches per year. Next to Hershey, Pa. Unfortunately it's about 200 miles from Pittsburgh but nice matches and facilities.

Re: Police L Match

We have been running a police L match in Harrisburg Pa for at least 50 years. It is a 2 day event in Sept. rim fire & center fire both days. Standing records are 200's, 300's and 900"s in both guns and a 3600,270 x by one shooter. Usually get approximately 160 shooters both days. A fun even...

On my .32 Long I filed a sharper edge on the part that grips and used a carbide scribe to stipple the grooves on the gun the ring grips. No problem since. Might look a bit rough if you remove scope but it works.

Probably the best explanation of grip & grips I have ever seen. As a 46 year bullseye shooter who has dabbled in international I find everything said to be spot on. Nice job.

thumb position

I notice in the ISSF videos many of the air, free & rapid fire shooters use a thumb down hold or it appears they do. Is there some advantage to this method? As a bullseye shooter I was always taught thumb up or at least away from the frame. Do they modify the anatomical grips to achieve this? I ...

I think the brand name is Quickwood. I've used it and it works well but hardens quickly.

I doubt if the long dies will work for you. Maybe the sizer but the shorter case probably won't reach the expand, seat or crimp dies. Call Dillon, they will know for sure.

Sorry, can't help with pics, am not computer savvy. Don't know how the top is configured, he put mount on before I saw it. I would just call Larry and ask. Perhaps my guy just got an oddball. Drilling & tapping might void the warranty. I would ask about that too. Good luck. Barry.

I have Larrys mount on my 90 but had to open up the ejection cut for reliable ejection. The 6 ounces can be felt but it certainly reduces any tendency for flip shots being that the weight is felt up front. I would also check before buying a new 90 as one of our shooters got one recently that had no ...
