Since a good optometrist (or even not so good) has a machine to "read" lenses you might ask him to shuffle through a bunch of .25 diopter lenses to find one with the "slop" you desire. Actually, I doubt you will see the difference. Do you know what you really have at this point? ...

There are a lot of good scopes out there, but the eyepieces suck. Unless youre buying something like Leica I would stay away from the zoom eyepieces. It is much cheaper to build a high quality single power eyepiece than a zoom. Sharpness and contrast are much more important than magnification. I've ...

Spacestout,

I'm sure you'll get great advice from Arnie.

I have been to matches where they allowed the shooter to load a full magazine.

I have no problem with that since I see no advantage to the shooter. He is at a disadvantage anyway, using a "lesser" gun than a free pistol.

I would have no objection to the match director allowing this.

Don Nygord once told me that there is no natural point of aim. Maybe that's why, as one poster said, it changes from day to day. On the other hand, your grip must fit perfectly so that the sights are aligned without the least effort when aiming. Sounds like you need to get out the grinder and the pu...

Try putting it in the freezer for an hour then give it a sharp rap with a small hammer or some such.

Heard it worked from a guy who bought a gun from me and did it. I haven't tried it.

Your placement of the trigger finger looks pretty good. Therefore, I would build up the front of the grip (fairly easy). While you were busy applying putty you could work on the odd place that needs a dab. I like AquaMend from the glue section at Home Depot. It is a waterproof epoxy for pool repair....

We've drifted from the point here.

The Lee dippers or homemade ones made of .22 brass work surprisingly well and can be adjusted to throw the exact charge you want. They are fast, too, especially with ball powders.

You are not loading large amounts of ammo.

The most obvious reason to not do it is that it makes your hand smell funny.

I have nothing to say about the IZH, except that the FWB is absolutely top quality. After getting my ass (severely) whipped at Camp Perry I walked over to commercial row there and bought a FWB65 from Champions Choice to practice with. That gun took me from putz to Master. I eventually "upgraded...

What difference does it make. It's not going to fit you anyway.

I'll go along with Richard H.

I would put a "wanted" ad in Buy, Sell, Trade or call Pilkington and see what they have or can get for you.

Drag your blue butts out of the snow drifts and come on down to sunny AZ for the Desert Midwinter International Championship and the Desert Midwinter Conventional Championship. International starts on Feb. 11 and Conventional on the 12th. If this doesn't put the fire in your belly, the Mexican food ...
