Re: Shooting Range Setup - Basement

Go with the box o' rags. The more you shoot, the better it works. No dust, no paper, no noise.

When you're sick of it....trash it, make another using your racing striped underwear (or your wife's).

Re: FEINWERKBAU MODEL C10

The only down side to a CO2 pistol is that it's affected by extreme temperature changes. If you use it around room temperature it's great. It easily gives you MORE than twice as many shots per fill. Buy or rent a used CO2 tank from a welding supply. When it's empty, take it back and trade it for a f...

Re: Bevel vs flat base

It has been many years since I competed with a .45, so I have nothing to back up this statement any longer. At the time, I would NEVER use BB bullets.

Wow JB, you're an old fart!

You got me beat. I checked and I've been here 19 years. I started under the name "roger v", but switched to "Rover" a year or so later.

They still haven't learned I'm "just foolin'".

Re: Recommendation for a cross-trainer air pistol

No reason not to go cheap. He's not heading for the Olympics.

I think everyone here knows I'm hot for SSPs, but there are lots of quality cheap CO2 guns floating around.

He could have a world class gun for cheap.

Cheap! Luv it!

Re: Grips: natural point of aim and cant

"I have yet not practiced stance very much. I have read I need to practice stance a lot so that I will be able to take up the exact same stance every time all subconsciously." I have seen morons squat down and draw around their feet so they might resume exactly the same stance. It doesn't ...

BTW I don't believe that there is a "natural point of aim", though many here do.

If you think your grip is too fat, buy sandpaper.

Do a search for "natural point of aim" here on TT. You seem to be mis-using the term.

Re: Best PCP Air gun for beginner- (Budget-friendly)

I noted his email address was not clear.

i.cube.i@gmail.com

Got it?

He also had a FWB 80 for less money. I shot my highest score ever with one.

Anyway, good luck with this. I think you'd be very happy.

Tell him if he doesn't take good care of you, he will suffer severe Rover abuse.

He has other guns, too.

A dependable source.

Re: Little Training exercise

As "mouthy" as I am, I'm not really going to jump into this one.
Sight alignment and trigger squeeze is everything.
Stance seems to be "trendy."
Play with the rest to your heart's content.

Re: Best PCP Air gun for beginner- (Budget-friendly)

I would not buy anything but Walther, Pardini, FWB, Hammerli, Morini, or Steyr.

Buy used, and as I said, buy a SSP to save some real bucks without handicapping yourself.

Re: Best PCP Air gun for beginner- (Budget-friendly)

You could email the guy who runs this site. See what he has in the way of used guns. You may not get an immediate response since he may be at Commercial Row at the NRA National Championships. You may want to just drop by Camp Perry. Lots of stuff for sale by the competitors. I bought my first real &...

Re: Best PCP Air gun for beginner- (Budget-friendly)

If you have a Grand, you should be able to get a top of the line PCP. Look at the For Sale and pick one. I have both a Walther LPM1 (SSP) and a couple of SAMs (PCP), and I've owned many others. For a beginner, I would definitely buy a SSP; lower cost all around, more dependable, cheaper to repair, l...
