I went to a local bicycle shop, figuring they would have a good assortment of very small ball bearings. They found the right size -- no charge.
Hope you have the same luck.

SCATT Training
...I look forward to someone posting how a Scatt, etc., was incorporated into their training and whether they felt it was a significant aid in improving their scores. One of our junior shooters used a SCATT (with a coach) to work on shot timing and shot rejection. After roughly two months of solid ...

Practice without pistol
You can use a small weight (2-3lb) to practice your hold. Many people use the weight attached to a string on a stick (actually, plastic pipe works well). Hold the pipe out, wind up the string and wind it down. I'm not certain if using a surrogate pistol, such as airsoft, would help. It might be one ...

Marking the score card
The matches I've competed in, we've marked the inner tens "C" and the outer tens "10 " -- then when totaled, each card would look something like this: C, C, 10, 8, 7 C, C, C, 10, 8 10, 9, 9, 9, 9 C, 10, 10, 9, 7 etc. and the totals would look like this: 45 - 2 48 - 3 46 46 - 1 et...

Knobloch vs. Champion
I also went with Champion. I use the larger lens and iris, and it does help me with maintaining concentration on the front sight. I love the available adjustments and they are very easy to work with one hand. My local optometrist was so intrigued by the shooting glasses, he spent about an hour with ...

At the Eye Doctor...
My optometrist took a lot of time to measure and test my vision so that the clearest point of focus would be on my front sight. I would also recommend using a single vision lens for shooting. Your brain won't have to decide which part of the lens to use, and it's cheaper than bifocals.

Palm Shelf
I also find that once my palm shelf is set, it's not set forever. What I mean is that I sometimes need to adjust it to compensate for different days. Sometimes my hands will swell from different pressure, temperature, diet, etc., or not. I always check to make sure I have the same 'feel' when I shoot.

I believe the Steyr sights follow the 'right hand rule.' If you curl the fingers of your right hand in the direction you turn the screw, your thumb points in the direction your sights (shot) will move.TomAmlie wrote:This may sound stupid, but are you adjusting the sights in the proper direction?

OK so I got a digital scale that reads in grams and after some filling and sipping of water from a bottle I found that my trigger was set as described from my original post at 487 grams. I fiddled around with the settings and now have the second stage weight back out to its stop? or what feels like...

LP-10
Most people use the guide from the Rink grips web site: http://www.formgriffe.de/alt/english/parameter.htm My hand measures 93mm as in the diagram and I have a Medium grip on my LP-10 -- but it is a bit small. I believe I need a large. I bought my LP-10 used from this site (TargetTalk). It's about t...

Re: What CO2 Pistol?
I'll see how I like the Izzy. It managed to blow the breech seal on my fifth shot, and the manual doesn't tell you how to replace it. I did get it fixed, but if anybody knows how to glue the seal in place, please let me know!. I wouldn't glue it. I have an Izzy and the seals are inexpensive enough....

Blurring
I recently took a sports medicine course as part of formal training for coaching. One interesting thing they pointed out is that your vision will begin to blur with minor dehydration. When I shoot, I try to stay hydrated throughout the day and will carry a bottle of water to see me through the match...

P-44 or LP-10
I have owned both. I began with the P-44 and really enjoyed it. I liked the fact that it has a dry fire mechanism that works like a safety. I also liked all the adjustments available on the pistol. I'm one of the people that did not particularly like the grips. While they are very well made, I just ...

Min Velocity
I guess it depends on what you want, clean holes or accuracy. You can search the threads for pellet velocity vs. accuracy and read several articles. One place to look is http://www.tenrings.co.uk/11603.html . Scroll to the bottom of the page to get an idea of velocity vs. accuracy. I'm not familiar ...

Izh-46 trigger adjustment
You really need to use the multi-tool that is provided. I tried to adjust mine using a screwdriver and nearly stripped the head. The multi-tool fits the slot perfectly and will break the screw free. After the first time, you can use a regular screwdriver.

LP-10E Review
Danke, Max! Sehr gut geschrieben.
Very understandable. A few readers may not realize that in much of Europe, the decimal is used instead of a comma for separating numbers -- so 25.000 = twenty-five thousand.
Thank you again.

Hand Pump
I use an LP-10 and have a Hill hand pump at home. I can charge my cylinders with scuba air at the local range, which usually is enough to carry me through practices at home. I'll occasionally use the pump, which works really well, and follow the Hill pump guide from our moderator's site. I don't fre...
