I can tell when I have a 'sweet' shot (about 1 shot in 20) - it just feels right. The rest - well I can't call them yet - they certainly don't go where I thought they did (I've only had the AP in my hand on 8 occassions and shooting an average 60 shots with a .22 on average every second weekend for ...

OK - here is an example of one of my traces (the worst example) but it amplifies the problem I have with 90% of my shots.

Green and Blue are default - 1s and o.3s before trigger

Actually I should correct my post. It wasn't 1 second it was 1/10 second. Other attempts showed 3/10 and 2/10ths early as the best score. Of interest is that the graph dips at the trigger point (0) then goes up again.

I just started using my Rika system and wow - I love it (the club has a SCATT but I can't see the difference really). As a still novice shooter I have only a vague idea how to interpret the data but one thing is for sure so far - I would score much better if I were to 'trigger' 1 second earlier. I f...

Well this type of free software is not unusual - lets face it - you can't use it without the hardware so offering it for free is moot (ie you still have to get data from Scatt hardware somewhere to use it) Yes this means that the hardware can be shared but for all intents and purposes the software i...

Probably because Matchguns aren't easily available! The Australian dealer recently stopped dealing in them (unless you know if someone new took over)

Free Pistols - Whats the difference

FP's are single shot weapons, seemingly all have adjustable triggers down to 0 grams so other than grip, what is the actual difference? I mean how much better is a new Hammerli or Morini over an old Toz or equivalent?

Ah - OK, thats the same thing I had to do with my observatory Serial Port setups (I have a few USB - Serial Adapters to choose from, Belkin ones turned out to be the most expensive but least reliable). Re-allocating Comm ports isn't too hard and I still have a laptop that still has a Floppy Disk Dri...

OK so does anyone have the RIKA running on a USB/Serial Adapter on Win XP or Vista?

Its looking more and more like paying more for the USB system is the best option. I would presume that Rika doesn't support the old system anymore as well.

Yes - I understand the problem with these adapters - I have them for my Astronomical Observatory/Telescope setup for all the serial interface connections.

Good to know - thanks guys.

Rika Home Trainer - Serial Port version

Has anyone tried this system with a Serial to USB adapter to connect to a PC without a Serial Port? If so does it still function OK?

I agree with Mike. The actual difference is 'what the other shooters would normally hear'. The Pelter earmuffs do not add to what would normally be heard on the line and in line with normal earmuffs are designed to reduce noise.

In days gone by I was right eye dominant and was able to shoot archery with both eyes open. As I have aged I have found that I am now flipping between left and right eye dominant - changes day to day. If I try to shoot with both eyes open I sometimes have one clear sight picture but on other days I ...

The Scatt system records scores - either integer or decimal values and allows for sighters etc.

One of my Instructors has an AW93 and it does not cycle correctly on the 4th shot in a series - every series, always the 4th shot. He uses Eley ammunition.
