How to secure pistol for testing pellets?
Coach figured it was time to try out different pellets. Any suggestions on how to secure an air pistol? I'm assuming clamping on the air cylinder is a bad idea -- of course would only clamp stiff enough to not move during recoil and would use non marring clamp. Dumb? Have read a Steyr manual that sa...

Time between strings in gallery match?
Hi, Shot a gallery course this evening at my new club. Which debuted a new recorded set of range commands (used to be called by a real human). I felt really rushed between strings in timed and rapid. I know I read somewhere that the range commands to start a string (Is the line ready, The line is re...

Thanks Fred. If I read you correctly, I did start with the premise you recommend. Aiming at the basement wall with no target with my normal grip the sights are not lined up. I rotated the pistol in my hand (leaving hand and head where they were) until the front post was centered. This caused zero co...

Hi, I'm taking the winter break in my league to modify my grip as well. What little I know I got from these: Grip Fitting by SFC Daryl Szarenski USA Shooting Grip Fitting : 101 , 102 , 103 , 104 . And a doc I downloaded somewhere and can't remember who to attribute. I attached it. Best of luck, tell...

Thanks for your thoughts. My goal was to move the front sight up and right. So I did indeed add a lot in the back were the heel of the palm should touch the grip. It wasn't touching if I rotated the pistol in my hand so that sights lined up with no side-to-side manipulation of my wrist. It also chan...

Modifying Grip -- to Add or Subtract?
Hi, I have a pretty new K 10 with a medium grip on it. In the attached picture you can see I used modeling clay to test customizing the grip it to point straight - it was naturally low left at 7 o'clock with a light grip. Never having modified a grip before, figured a test drive would be a good idea...

I was with their coach when he found out about it. I immediately thought back to two guys hanging out near the trophy case -- which happens to be right next to the storage room. And those two guys wouldn't have come to mind ever again except for what happened -- they simply looked out of place among...

Price Check on OLD Walther GSP
hi,
I know a guy selling a Walther GSP with safety, so I guess that means a pre 1977 model. Is that a viable gun for Bullseye these days considering its age and since then the GSP with two stage and then the Expert models have come along?
Is it worth $900 with 2 mags?
thanks,
Jab

Re: Pardini now on Mass list
Thanks again Greg! Can't wait for Walthers to be added... (the adjustable grip may cause me to jump ship from my current brace of Pardinis!).Greg Derr wrote:The Target Roster has been updated in Mass. 11 Pardinis and a bunch of High Standards.

Flying with Pardini case
Hi, This recent talk about cases makes me suddenly wonder if the original Pardini plastic case is OK to fly with?! If not, I have to buy something ASAP since I'm traveling Wednesday! Anyone ever have issues with it? I usually use a large lock over the handle rather then tiny ones in the easily rippe...

I looked at the ISSF web site and found air pistol rules, surprised they were from 2009. They do NOT specify that shoes can't cover the ankle bone, like the PPP rules do. Can you wear ubiquitous canvas hi-top Converse All Stars, i.e. Chuck Taylor's? I picked some up recently and I'm shooting them in...

I've used it often in the past when I go through a heavy weight lifting phase. I really don't see how it would help in shooting. Its theoretical use, and how it works for me, is helping muscles recover following a hard workout. I can work out hard again the next day. Lifting my arm with a pistol in ...

Same boat
I'm pretty much in the same boat as you shooter.177. I was shooting a borrowed Izzy in the spring. Once I decided I liked this sport I went looking to buy my own air gun. Ended up with a Pardini K10 for a couple of reasons. Biggest is that I was always afraid of fatigue with Izzy, not so much with t...
