No complaints when I wore a ball cap with my wife's company name on it this week at the nationals.

Google "throwers ten". The best shoulder strengthening exercises out there. Not that we are lifting heavy weighs, but over all balanced strength will keep a shooter from hurting themselves with repetitive motion. Core exercises are also important, the AMU web site has some pointers there. ...

Bah! Moot point, my club will not allow shooting on 5 targets, considered "cross fire". I asked "how about just 2 targets so I can at least practice recovery and transition. After all, the centers are only 18" apart and I've seen most of you shoot...". I don't think I made a...

ISSF Rapid Fire reduced to 50 feet

Hi, My club does not have a 25m or even 25yd range, just 50' indoor or out. Do you think I have the layout right for practicing ISSF Rapid Fire at 50' using the reduced target called B-39 ? Going to shoot it for the first time in our state championships, perhaps I should practice a little first?! ch...

I would suggest that the two things are both crucial, but independent: - 'Front sight' is something you are conscious of, and focussing on and at - Your triggering action is something that you have learned from the previous 10000+ trigger releases This is basically how I'm working it now. I got bot...

Cheaper version is the opaque plastic sides of a milk bottle. That's what I use, after buying the flip-down eye blinder from Champion's and seeing it was the same material. Only thing is, I use a hole punch to put two holes on them to slip them onto my prescription glasses. But then they are not as...

Re: Recommend Hotel in Columbus GA

good fair priced hotel in Columbus GA for the Nationals? Don't know if its the right place, but a good topic! Going for the first time myself. Pete hasn't gotten the discounts set up yet, last I talked to him (Thu). I called the Ft. Benning PAO and got the tip that a new hotel is being built near t...

-does the grip matches your hand (especially at the wrist and the middle finger for vertical issues) How does one know if a grip matches as you describe? I think the grip is a little small for me. This is my Steyr with a Morini M. Feels smaller then my Pardini K10's M. In that I don't feel the ball...

What makes Starlin's win even more remarkable is that she is now a college student on a campus that doesn't even allow her to keep a pistol on campus for dry fire practice. With no car she gets very very little practice; even then its mostly been AP.

Well done Starlin! Well done!

Take Air Pistol to Florida?

Hi, I'm traveling on vacation next week to Florida. Any problem at all with a non-resident showing up with an (empty) pre-charged pneumatic air pistol? Since I'm from Mass, I'm used to their being all sorts of persnickety laws, different from town-to-town... Just figured a week of dry fire against a...

I frequently train at shorter distances. I'm only concerned with group size not score. Same here Rover. That my group was low I thought meant I would be pretty close to dead on at 10M since I assumed pellet was still rising. But the point made about the visual clues and size of black, though fuzzy ...

Re: Pity party has to end

Use visualization and imagering to replay and refine shooting process, don't use words I think that would describe my typical shot process. I visualize/do focus on front sight, raising over bull, sight alignment, taking in breath, settling down above bull. Letting out enough breath to line of white...

Pity party has to end

My own personal pity party that is. I went into a 10m air pistol match with such high expectations (part of the problem?) that when I crashed and burned with a 529, I didn’t know what hit me. The setup was a match on a Sunday. Friday I worked from home because of a snow storm so I snuck in 2 practic...

I think its just a matter of paper work. Greg took it on to get the Pardini's added. I asked Earl of Walther fame if he wanted to do it for Walthers, but since he's moved out of the state he doesn't appear to be interested. Too bad, I would snatch up the first Walther I could find, new or used. I lo...
