And a nice added 'touch' by Steyr by starting the 6 digit serial numbers
with 600.
I'm sure they are hoping that this model may end up being the first to shoot a perfect score.

I understand your point totally David. My post was more one of interest in noting that I keep the pistol pointed at the target for the 5 shots. My use of the Rika for 10sec and 20sec is mainly to create something different to do - but I also find it a great help in getting my sight alignment prompto...

I've used my Rika with my Morini AP (162ei) to practice the 10 sec and 20 sec series. All i did was turn off the trace and reduce the follow thru time to the min setting (i think this is .5sec) I don't have to move the sights off target. Works great except I get five different targets, not five hits...

More trivia than anything. I've pondered over the fact that with our Rika or Scatt systems, we have the target parameters set to a true 10m. Our 'shot measurement' is therefore an exact 10m - laser to target. Realisticaly though, when we shoot live fire on a 10m range, we are in fact only shooting a...

Yes Steve, I do understand what you mean by that 'apples/oranges' comparison. It's worthy for me to make a comment though, in regard to we Australians who use the Rika hometrainer. Whilst for us, it appears we use it to analyse performance we also use it at home, as our firearms regulations do not a...

I made the same mistake/discovery/reverlation as Pabs many months ago, after getting myself the Rika Hometrainer. Using my Morini 162ei I noticed my hold was exceptional - holding the 10 ring for over 80% of my 6 - 8 second hold. Starting off shooting around 570 - 577 for the first week, then, with ...

Here's some useful info regarding the storing of your TOZ and the dry fire info you enquired about. Storing the Toz 35 Before putting the pistol away, check that the chamber is empty, then carry out the following procedure. Cock the set trigger. Using the action lever protruding through the grip, sl...

Steve, probably the best place to log into would be: http://www.pistol.org.au/Results/ISSF.php That will give you a choice of looking at the latest Nationals in OZ, as well as other years and competitions. We do not categorise by age in Competition, so you will have to search names thru the results ...

Who is the Aussie to beat in the 60-69 age category? There's a heap of them. This age group will likely have the closest scores, so you'll need to shoot your very best Steve. David Moore? Common"!! You must know by now? Three time Olympian, three time Commonwalth Games, a string of Australian r...

Isabel, (and others considering attending) don't let the paperwork overwhelm you too much. I believe your Sherrif's department would suffice to being a substitute for Police. We Aussie's just don't use the word sherrif down under. Storage is not a problem. State that you will store at the SISC facil...

Thanks to David M for giving/sharing with us what he does. He'd never tell you, but he's got an awesome shooting background. Remarkably self coached. Specialising in 10m MAP and 50m pistol. His medals, trophies, records and awards would take pages to list. Not hard to see why. A member of the Austra...

I have the Top. It's been good, probably had 10000 rounds thru it. It was my first pistol 3 years ago. No relegated to firends who want to 'try'. that way they don't get their hands on my LP 10. Sometimes my Top lets out air from the cyclinder if, when using the 8 shot magazine, I don't count and ta...

Thanks Ruis - sensational. Page 1 is a summary of the Final. 1P . 6P means there were 6 sighters before the Final started. You'll see he shot an 'erant' 8 and the rest were 10's. On the right hand side of that chart is 1..7 - being the first 7 shots of the final. The number 7 in the cirlce being his...

Some observations and some questions too. This is the first time I've seen a final of a WC and whilst it was a bit stop and start due to my internet speed being quite slow, I did notice that many of the shooters 'held' for quite a long time - up to 20 seconds or more. Still scoring well too. Is the ...

I built a square box (5mm wood) with very small aliminum channel to hold the target at the front. I fill the box with scrunched up newspaper, lots of it, packed in tight. It's super silent, truly there's no real sound of the pellet coming to rest. The pistol is 10 times louder. Total cost to build t...

David, you are right. I do think it's probably the re-coil. I can't put it down to anything else. I do not get the same effect when using the LP10. Steve, I'm wanting my Morini to have the same sight radius as my LP10. As it is, I have the LP10 set up with the longest possible sight radius, and I li...

Fred, David, IP Shooter - you have all been most helpful - thank you. Individually you have also summed up exactly what takes place. I like the LP10 and how on release of the shot - my finger stops firm and I hold a nice steady (appears to be) sight slighnment. I'm not sure what it is I do wrong aft...
