How to test Sig/Hammerli Trailside accuracy
I just purchased a used but very nice Trailside. I had one about 10 years ago that I recall shot better than this one but I was only 59 then:) In trying to shoot it from a rest, to verify the accuracy of the pistol, I find that it is difficult to do this as the barrel cross section is quite small an...

FAS 604 is a good choice
FAS 604s still available new, but a little low in power. I have both the IZH-46M and FAS 604 and find that both shoot quite well. The FAS is enjoyed more by my friends as it just "feels" better in their hands. While the 604 IS lower in power than the 46M you can't tell it by looking at th...

Re: IZH problem
Dear Friends, I have a problem of my IZH 46. I bought it brand new. but it was not pumping enough air. so I replaced the new seal. but still the problem is there. with a "Puff" pellet stays in the chamber.. after I do few times pumping and shooting, pellet leave the barrel with a slow spe...

Very nice pistol
I would like to buy a new FAS, they just aren't sold in Australia any more. James, That is too bad as the FAS 604 is a very nice pistol and is easy to shoot well. I am an older (68) non competitive shooter that likes to shoot decent kit and shoot often at my small home range. I have several SSP pis...

Thanks for the comparison
That is a nice report and good information for me in the future Mike. Mike The AF sights showed up today, and I had a little daylight left when I got home to shoot a few targets. My "range" is 90% indoors, with the remaining 4 feet or so out the back man door of the garage. Anyway.....my f...

My compliments to Domino (FAS)
I recently purchased a new FAS 604 Standard model from one of our major USA dealers. When the pistol arrived the FAS plastic case was broken completely in two at the hinges and had been taped back together. Obviously this had happened way before it was shipped to me. The loose case let the pistol sl...

Re: Nice stock
Thanks for the nice comment on the rifle. I had a good time working on it. If you acquire the tools, the skills will follow shortly.....I promise you that. :-) I cannot imagine life without a mill, now......I use it everyday. I am converting it to cnc, and have about another month before it should b...

CO2?
I think you'll have wide velocity fluctuations with the chrono that close to the muzzle of the CO2 gun. The CO2 will obscure the readings a but. I usually have to put the 1st screen about 1m from the muzzle. I am confused about the CO2 comment. The 753 is a SSP compressed air powered rifle. Mike

Nice stock
That is a fantastic job on the stock. I have neither the skills nor the tools for that kind of work. I am quite envious! Since purchasing my first 753 I have converted almost entirely to SSP airguns. I really enjoy their accuracy and enjoy being able to shoot at home. I did retain my original Ruger ...

I realize this is about a year old, but I'm wondering if the poster may have info on finding this elusive 9.5 x 1.0 tap. I can't seem to turn up anything. Thanks I could not find the correct tap but found that the standard 3/8 x 24tpi tap is so close that it worked just fine with both my Anschutz a...

I think you are right. It is not visible nor distracting when shooting. It is distracting when just admiring the pistol though. I have emailed FAS in Italy (Domino) and explained the issue. They will probably take care of it directly. I understand that in addition to good pistols they also have exce...

FAS 604 rear sight blade
I received a new FAS 604 Sport from AOA yesterday and the rear sight blade was slightly bent. I was able to straighten it but it is still apparent that it had been bent. AOA would have replaced the gun but mine was the last one they had in stock. Since the 604 was otherwise perfect I declined the re...

Re: My (less reliable) input
[/quote] Clearly, I have eye problems since what I see and what the camera sees are so completely different.
