Re: Recruiting Process? How does it work?

The recruiting process will vary based on each program. NCAA rifle teams are limited to 3.6 scholarships(based on cost of attendance) to be divided up between the members of the team, usually 8-16 members depending upon year and program. This makes full ride scholarships very rare. There are current...

FWB 700 problem

Hello all, One of my athletes is shooting a FWB 700 Alu. and we have come across a problem that I am not sure how to fix as I am more familiar with Anschutz rifles. The problem is: if the rifle is cocked and the action closed in dryfire mode and then switched to live fire, while action is closed the...

Tennessee Rifle Match? Adult

Do the positives out way the negatives? This depends a bit on financial means, if you have money to buy new suits every 4-5 years then you may not think the extra warmth is is worth putting up with. If you are like me and a custom suit is a major investment then having a suit that will last years lo...

The Proliner is noticably warmer than ordinary canvas suits that I have used. Depending upon how well your body handles heat and the environment in which you shoot it may become an influencial factor. I don't handle heat well ( I come from an area that averages -10 degrees F (-23 C.) for 5-6 months ...

Monard super extended

Both my teammate and I have the Monard super extended shooting suits. The quality is great; the proliner material keeps its stiffness well. After 3 years of fairly heavy use (15-20 hours a week) I can tell no difference in the stiffness of the proliner. The canvas in the pants has softened a bit but...

Thank you.

Thank you all for your responses. We think we have solved the problem at least for now. We'll see if the jacket or any of our jackets are legal after the official ISSF rule changes with detailed explanations of what they mean come out. I hope they come out nicer than they looked earlier on.

Jacket alterations

Hello, My question is concerning jacket alterations. I have a team member that has a custom jacket but it has been cut too large on his support arm side causing a bulge in front of his left shoulder and chest (he's right handed), this bulge then touches the rifles grip causing it to be illegal. He w...

possible boot

Sauer's website says that they offer boots up to 50eu in size. You may want to check them out. Kurt Thune only appears to offer up to a size 49. I don't know if any of them offer custom boots, you may have to call or email the company and ask. Link for Sauer: http://www.sauer-shootingsportswear.de/e...

Air rifle

If you are looking into starting target air rifle shooting you first need to decide if you are going to shoot sporter style or precision Olympic style. There is a big price difference between the two when getting set up. You can probable get started in sporter air rifle for $600 with rifle and equip...

front sight

The standard front sight on a fwb p70 is 22mm. If ordering inserts or adjustable front iris order the ones that say for 22mm front sight. If you had an 18mm front sight the insert size would have to be smaller then 18mm when measured in order to fit in the sight tunnel. Hope this helps.

I would recommend removing the rubber eye cup from your sights. They aren't of an benefit. And not many if any of the top shooters use them.
