Re: Ammo question
A little update, I shoot a KK300 Anatomic, so far have shoot low to mid and ammo (Federal Match 711B, RWS Target Orange box, SK Standard Plus, SK Rifle Match) all these ammo are almost undistinguishable at 50 yards, the might group in different parts of the target but they all group at 30-65 mm. Re: Ammo question
So for everyone here what are their opinions and experiences with these ammo, which one do you recommend for me to use? Every barrel is unique, as is every batch of ammunition. If you're serious, contact the Eley Customer Range in Texas to have your rifle matched to a specific batch of ammunition. ...

Re: Century Arms Toz 35
That is the conclusion that I more or less came to. However, I note that Larry's Guns of Maine is offering a "new" TOZ for almost $1400, albeit with Rink grips and forend, which by themselves sell for north of $400. Anyone know if TOZs are still in production? I am pretty sure they went o...

Re: eyes getting old
I'm very fortunate; my optometrist lets me bring my pistol, and we go out to the parking lot and hang a target on the side of the building and she changes lenses in the trial frames until I'm satisfied.

Revised- Opinions on IZH 35m and price
I would be reluctant to purchase any pistol that is no longer supported by any US importer.
They are generally good shooters.
See if the Canadian importer can support it-

Larry Carter at Larry's Guns in Maine knows everything known about Hammerli! Ask him- if doesn't know, no one else does either.

Re: 45 Wadcutter gun
I'm think about setting up a 1911 for wadcutters. What mods are needed or is this something I should consider sending out. I also want to get a 22 conversion for this. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks Skip Most modern 1911 pattern .45's are ready to go. Military magazines won't reliably feed S...

Re: FAS 6004 vs Hammerli AP20
"...I know I can't buy points...", Don I think you can, and every one you buy is one fewer you have to shoot. That said, IMHO you are better served saving for a first tier air pistol used rather than buying a new one that's not so good, particularly one that is not well supported. And eve...

The Steyr LP10 grip is adjustable, but the manual doesn't quantify the degree of adjustment. The folks at pilkguns.com may have more detail.

Re: 2016 National Match schedule is out
It seems to me with all of the millions of dollars the NRA has at their disposal, that they should be able to run the National Matches at a loss if necessary, to help promote the sport, and future NRA supporters/donors. Jeff The National Matches are run at a net loss. Dennis Willing explained that ...

Re: 1911 Targer 45 competition with Red Dot
On Range 4 at Camp Perry in 2015 there were a lot of one inch Ultra Dot sights mounted on the slide. Frame mounts are quite popular, too, and both methods have their fans.

Re: 1911 conversion .22lr.
At Camp Perry (the US National Championship) I see lots of Marvel conversions. I've never seen a Kimber conversion. So in qualitative terms, not accurate enough for competition.ser2711 wrote:How accurate is the Kimber 1911 Rimfire Target Conversion Kit..?

Re: Affordable Indoor Shooting Range Building
Nice! Ventilation isn't too hard in small spaces. I seem to recall from somewhere that the working value in the UK was something like 8 air changes per hour, obviously sucking from the firing point down to the target end. On the standard dimensions of a 53' container, you get a volume of ~4300cu.ft...

Go to range.nra.org
Each range is unique. When my club upgraded the indoor range the ventilation was about a third of the total cost.
