I also wonder how can they produce something like these for such a price as there seems to be plenty of detail in them. Why cant someone make an entry level PCP 10m pistol for 300 euros? Lots and lots of them available used in Europe. Air pistols do not age that much. As to new guns, the only one s...

In view of the Beijing Olympics 2008, I shall thus define "world class" as 563 AP men, 365 AP women, 555 25m pistol women I am not sure that you could class those scores as world class Bill. (...) I don't want to offend anyone but IMHO those scores and placings are nowhere near to world c...

The Olympic Games provides a focal point for our sport and irrespective of the merits or otherwise, the Games offers every participating nation the opportunity to showcase its shooting athletes and promote ISSF/Olympic style shooting in a positive light. Did you really mean that in earnest, in view...

What constitutes "world class"...

100 word class shooters? as in >580 AP? If I am allowed an afterthought: Everybody can of course use his personal implied definition for "world class". Mine would be: competing at international matches, world cups etc. In view of the Beijing Olympics 2008, I shall thus define "world ...

Interesting assessments. Pessimistic?

Hereabout *only* at my county championships, we had 104 contestants (men, women, juniors, seniors, everybody) in 10 metres AP.

At the regional championships, the overall number was 168.

and about, literally, 100 international style shooters in the US... this is a VERY VERY demanding and exacting precision sport! I guess the correct number would be at least 10,000. What Bill may have had in mind, are the number of USA-based ISSF shooters on an international performance level . Alex...

Ammo question for older Pardini-Fiocchi MP .32

Since I would not handload for a .32 S&W WC, what factory ammo would be considered as similar soft / mild for a problematic pistol such as the Pardini-Fiocchi MP ?

Many thanks,
Alexander

Here is an interesting older thread on the IZH-46M in comparison:

Many thanks for your kind input first, sbtzc. FYI, the price for a used Feinwerkbau 65 is about 150 to 250 Euros in Germany (cheaper if you are lucky) and you can plaster the streets with them. You might have to throw in another 50-75 Euros for a revision of the valve. The rest does not age; ever. A...

Comparison IZH-46 to FWB 65?

It may seem a silly question to the "the newer-the-better" type of readers, to whom I would like to apologize in advance... but how would in your opinion the IZH-46(M) compare in usability, error tolerance (there are air pistols that are very shooter-friendly, and there are those who are u...

Dear Steve, as a mostly reading lurker, I have rarely ever observed you posting "emotionally" (not to imply that emotion in and by itself would be anything bad) - except for one or maybe another odd off-topic political statement that shows you clearly right-wing of Attila the Hun, Tamburla...

Hi from Europe

It's my first posting on this list and I think the topic might be appropriate for me to delurk (though Steve and others may remind me that improving one's hold and trigger control is very likely much more important than any ammo batch testing - but the latter is more fun... ;-). I am shooting 10 m a...
